Former Marianna Borough Tax Collector Sentenced for Mail Fraud. This Borough was almost bankrupt, it’s amazing how they have been able to recover in a few short years. Many people have told us Marianna is heading in the right direction once again.

Happy Sunday everyone! We are in need of baskets or raffle items for the 2023 BC Golf outing on June 3rd! Please let us know if you are donating. We cannot have a prosperous fundraiser without the help of parents and the community! The money raised goes towards uniforms (new, upkeep, laundry ect), safety equipment, camp gear, coaches gear, food and Gatorade through the season, 7 on 7 fees , locker banners in the field house, Senior banners, senior night gifts, end of season banquet and gifts and anything else that needs paid for. The school does not pay for any of these things. This is both for Middle School and Varsity teams! The reality is, If we do not fundraise, your child will not have.

Bethlehem-Center Elementary School…
First year elementary art teacher, Brittany Gilpin was nominated as a finalist for Rookie Teacher of the Year. This recognition is through the Educational Partnership of Pittsburgh.

Brittany has her BA in Graphic Design and her Masters of Ed. as an Art Educator. She has overcome many obstacles in her life but has made the best of her strengths by making a difference in the lives of so many students. She always volunteers and has taken part in many community activities…her motto is “pay it forward so others can benefit from opportunities.”

June 7th the Educational Partnership will announce the winner for Rookie Teacher of the Year.

Hopeful that this story can get the recognition it deserves…teacher appreciation especially for our new teachers in the field.

 I havent been a student for many years but the middle school has a pool, the planetarium. It also has a very nice gymnasium with a weight room.
Why don’t they consider closing the elementary?
Lastly, how do they plan on separating the junior high students from the high school students?
Most of our neighboring schools, who only have two buildings have always had a steady enrollment numbers and their buildings were designed to house, junior high, and high school students together our high school wasn’t. Former Pennsylvania auditor general. Eugene DiPasquale came in 4-5 years ago and advised the district where to cut spending but the school board at the time did not follow his recommendations.

I want to take a moment to thank all the brave men and women from Bethlehem-Center High School that served our great country.. I also want to take a moment to honor my dear friend Sargent Joe Minucci who gave his life serving our country in Iraq.. Rest in peace my friend, we miss you.

🇺🇸 20 years ago today, the United States and coalition forces began Operation Iraqi Freedom to liberate Iraq from dictator Saddam Hussein.

I would like to thank my colleagues Senator Devlin Robinson, Senator Tracy Pennycuick, Senator Cris Dush, Senator Ryan P. Aument, and Senator Doug Mastriano for their service in Iraq. Thank you to the thousands of Pennsylvanians who bravely served and for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

What are everyone’s thought’s?  former auditor general Eugene DiPasquale came in five or six years ago and made recommendations to hellp the district get out of this financial mess. They did not follow his reccomendations allegedly.

A steady decline in enrollment has led Bethlehem-Center School District to consider closing the district’s middle school.

Thank you to our school and our State Senator Camera Bartolotta!!

I just wanted to say thank you to Senator Camera Bartolotta, our administrators and all others involved for all of your hard work helping Beth Center secure a grant that will be put towards "The Bethlehem Center Physical Plant and Facilities Revitalization” the grant amount is $1,000,000 and will help our district overcome our aging infrastructure in so many ways!
