Holidays are upon us, as are getting holiday pictures lost. I recommend using YYYY-MM-DD dates for your files as opposed to either the US or European style. This will sort all your 2022 documents from your 2021, 1999, or even earlier.

This weeks organizational tip: Folders. Just like when organizing your house, putting like things helps you locate them faster, the same is true for your files. If you're a photographer of varying nature, last thing you want is more adult pictures getting mixed in with your wedding photos! Or jut accidentally mixing two weddings together. Folders can help prevent disastrous mistakes, and makes them easy to locate.

This weeks organizational tip: When numbering files, like Pic -1, make sure to know how many pictures you'll have. If you have 2 digit numbers, like 20 or 30, your pictures should start numbering at 01. If its triple digits, like 300 or 400, it should start 001. Otherwise it will read as Pic1, Pic 105, Pic 13.
