I'm working on the details now, but I wanted you to hear it first from me here.
Thursday's stream (03/03) will be my first ever charity stream! We'll be helping to raise money for CARE! CARE is providing humanitarian aid and your help is urgently needed. They are providing food, water, and hygiene kits to the most vulnerable in Ukraine!
CARE is launching a humanitarian response to support the most vulnerable Ukrainians, particularly women-headed households and the elderly. Nearly 30% of people in need of assistance in Ukraine are over the age of 60, which is the largest percentage of people affected by conflict in a single country.
While many younger people are able to flee the violence, many older people are less mobile and have no choice but to stay. Older women, in particular, may be literally “left behind” to care for grandchildren with little support and face more challenges in moving to safety.
CARE is working with a local humanitarian organization already operating in Ukraine to rapidly deliver emergency assistance. Through this partnership, we aim to impact 4 million people. Our first priority is to meet the immediate needs of affected families through the distribution of critical food and water supplies as well as hygiene kits, cash assistance and psychosocial support.
I am humbled, honored, and beyond grateful to be able to do something to help those affected by what's transpiring in Ukraine.
