Dr. Asgar Samoon visits Polytechnic College Chadoora, ITI Charar-e-Sharief
Budgam,CNS,20-Jan: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today visited Polytechnic College Chadoora and ITI College Charar-e-Sharief in Budgam to take stock of functioning and review progress of developmental works at both institutions.
During visit to polytechnic College, Principal Secretary inspected various labs of civil engineering and mechanical engineering to take on spot stock of availability of various facilities.
Principal Secretary also chaired a brief interaction session with students and staff of the college. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Polytechnic College, Altaf Hussain Shalla summed up the various achievements attained by skill development department under the abled guidance and leadership of Principal Secretary and put forward some demands before him.
Principal Secretary hailed the efforts of the Principal and other staff and said that government polytechnic college has been leading as number 1 polytechnic college in the Valley and number 2 at overall ranking in the UT of J&K as marked by the government. Dr Samoon further said that Rs. 2.8 crores have been allotted to the college for purchase of machinery and equipment for the institution.
He said that other trades including Automobile be started at the college from the next academic session.
Principal Secretary said that work on hostel accommodations be completed as early as possible and facilities including bus service be provided students in near future.
He stressed on providing skilled training to the local youth under different trades and emphasized that handholding of skilled youths shall open economic resources and employment avenues for them.

Nilnag to Laddan road in shambles, locals suffer.
Chadoora CNS, 01 Jan 2023 : A one kilometer road stretch between Nilnag to Laden in central Kashmir’s Budgam district is in dilapidated condition, giving tough time to the commuters and residents.
They accused the administration of failing to macadamize this vital road. “The road is lying in shambles for a long time. The road have craters and during rains, the driving becomes difficult and risky,” local said, adding that patients and students are the worst hit and they often reach their destinations late.
There are more than hundred houses in this village, but it is unfortunate that the condition of the road from Nilnag to Laden is lying in very bad shape. This road, apart from Laden further connects many adjoining villages and hamlets. But due to worst condition of this road the people of this entire area are badly suffering.
Locals said that concerned authorities have turned a blind eye towards this issue and appealed the higher officials to look into the matter. “We have approached authorities several times but nothing positive happened on the ground,” locals said, adding that they have pinned their hopes on the new administration....(CNS)

**Tehsildar Chadoora launches massive anti-encroachment drive**
Chadoora CNS, 31 July 2022 : Administration Chadoora today launched a massive anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Chadoora and retrieved state land.
The Revenue and Police officials headed by respective Tehsildar of Chadoora conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Chadoora.
Speaking about the anti-encroachment drive undertaken to preserve Government land, the Tehsildar Chadoora said anti-encroachment drives will continue in all the parts of the Tehsil to retrieve entire State and Kahcharai lands encroached by the land grabbers. He said involvement in land encroachment will be dealt with sternly as per the law.
The Tehsildar sought cooperation of the general public in its action against encroachments and also warned of action in matters of encroachment on State/kahcharie lands.
But on the other hand, the local people alleged that the revenue department only takes action on the poor people while no action is taken on the rich and influential people.

Chattergam Chadoora Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, who has been incarcerated in the Dammam jail in Saudi Arabia since 18 March 2020 after he shared his WhatsApp number over Facebook with an unknown friend.
His trial has started in the Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh, and there is no one to fight his case. Due to financial problems, the family cannot afford a lawyer in a foreign country. We hope the Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia will help and send him back to India.
Javaid Ahmad was working as a Supervisor at Centre Kitchen, Al-Khobar Ibn Sina, branch office Dammam when he was detained by the Saudi authorities on March 18, 2020. It's been more than 2 years and Javaid has not been released from prison so far.
Being a professional worker, his behavior towards others in the company was taken as an example and employees had loved to explore and work with him. Javaid’s mother is suffering from a cardiac problem and needs regular medical treatment and financial help. The family could not afford expensive medicines. His wife and his minor daughter are being deprived from love and affection.
They are requesting to the honorable prime Minister of India Shri Narander Modi ji and foriegn Minister Shri S jaishankar ji and LG JK UT Shri Manoj Sinha ji to help us releasing our brother

Chadoora, 05 July 2022 ,: A non-local lady was allegedly murdered by her husband in Chadoora town in central Kashmir's Budgam district.
Non local lady identified as Haleema, a resident of West-Bengal was staying up in a tent with her husband on the banks of Doodhganga river Chadoora has alleged been murdered by her husband who is absconding.
As per initial reports the couple allegedly had a fight during night hours.
A police officer confirmed the incident to and said "The body has been taken into custody and investigation has been set into motion."
