*Full Dress Rehearsal for Republic Day -2024 Parade held at Budgam*.

Budgam 24 January 2024:

In the run up to 75th Republic day-2024, today Full Dress Rehearsal was held at Sports Stadium Budgam.

Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam *Shri Akramullah Tak -JKAS accompanied by ASP Budgam Shri Raghav S -IPS* unfurled the National flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.

On the occasion, various Contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, IRP, Home Guards, besides Contingents of NCC and students from different schools also participated in the march past parade.*SP CIU Budgam Dr Aijaz Ahmad Malik-JKPS* led the march past as parade commander on the occasion.

Students from various schools and numerous cultural groups presented and performed scintillating cultural Programmes on the occasion.

Among others *ADC Budgam Mehraj uddin -Shah -JKAS ,Chief Education Officer Budgam Tanvir Ahmad Mir, Dysp Headquarters Budgam Shri Saqib Ghani-JKPS ,Incharge DySP DAR DPL Budgam Shri Nazir Ahmad*, SHO PS Budgam and other Civil and Police officers were present on the occasion.

Cold Intensifies Across Kashmir After Temperature Takes Further Dip Below Sub-Zero

Srinagar records the coldest night of the ongoing winter season

Srinagar 09 Dec (CNS): Cold conditions intensified after temperature dipped to -4.6° C last night in Srinagar, recording the coldest night of the summer capital J&K in the ongoing winter season.

As per the news agency CNS, the weather parameter from the MeT Centre Srinagar showed that Srinagar’s temperature settling at -4.6° C compared to the previous night’s mercury dropping to -2.6° C here.

In south Kashmir, the temperature during last night in Pahalgam was recorded at - 5.0°C while as in north Kashmir, the world famous ski-resort Gulmarg’s mercury plummeted to 4.3°C.

Besides, the minimum temperatures in Qazigund and Kokernag in south Kashmir were recorded as 2.8°C and 2.3°C. In north Kashmir, Kupwara district’s temperature fell to -3.0°C last night.

After the temperature dropped across Kashmir’s districts by varying degrees, people woke up Saturday morning to a bone-chilling cold and freezing conditions.

Regarding the weather, the MeT Centre had predicted conditions to remain dry till 11th December in J&K. However, the weather was said to remain cloudy with light rain/snow at isolated higher reaches from 12-15 of this month. (CNS)
