“This is my Mom!” I’ve decided these are three of the greatest words my ears hear and they go straight to my heart and make it pound. It’s the greatest title I’ve ever earned.

And trust me it has to be earned. It is not for the weak or those who are tossed by every wind!

I have to keep my pride in check as I hear these words. If I do nothing else with my life other than bringing these beautiful humans into the world and watching them grow through heartache, tears, worry, laughter, and more joy than I thought was possible, than I have done enough.

So, yes! I am their Mom. They are what make my life matter.

And now I get to hear the precious voice of my first grandson when he says “Mimi! Do you want to sit with me?” To which I always say, I want to do whatever it is you want me to.

So as he told me last night, “Happy Day of Mudder’s Day” to all of you that get to hear those three beautiful words, “This is my Mom.”

Just a follow up on my letter to my mom…confirming some of what I wrote. Yesterday as we headed out the door for an orthopedic appt and a compression treatment she came to a screeching halt on the sidewalk scaring me to death! Her gasp made me wonder what had happened! “I think I forgot my lipstick! I need my lipstick.” So we made sure she had it and off she went looking her best. Just melts my heart.
She used to always say, “You may go down temporarily but you should always look good doing it.”

Have you ever had that moment where you thought it could possibly be time to throw in the towel? Have you wondered that if you barreled forward you might not be the brightest star in the sky? Well that is what I have been going through lately with my Podcast. But then I remembered what my podcast was about and that is Cowgirl Courage.
Over the last month, since I have started season three, I have had so much go wrong with the episodes. It was starting to make me wonder if someone was sabotaging me. Then I realized that the answer to that is yes! And I am here to announce that I am not going down! I will not give up in spite of all the challenges I have had. I will not quit , I will not relent, I know this mission is vital.
I’m sure you all know by now that I am technologically challenged. Even after successfully doing quite a few episodes the last three have have not gone well. As a matter of fact, the last two didn’t go at all! For those of you who listened to episode one I will apologize again for the very large echo in my guest’s mic.Episode two was going to be with a guest in Casper but when she arrived I had been working on my mics for over an hour and never did get them to work. I will have to reschedule with her. It was a hard day for her to meet with me but she was so gracious. I recorded a new episode yesterday with a friend who had a very difficult topic to discuss. She was hesitant but said she had gotten a sign that she needed to do it. We did the recording yesterday and it was hard and amazing and so much wisdom was shared. Too bad I had my cord plugged into the wrong connector and there was no sound! Yes one hour of her and I moving our lips in a video. She has graciously agreed to re-do the episode.
So…here’s to Cowgirl Courage! Bear with me as I fight against frustration and doubt.

What better day to publish Episode I Season 2 of True Stories of Cowgirl Courage than International Women’s Day with one of the strongest women I have ever met. Trusting the Heavenly Father when her earthly father never showed her love or protected her is Joy William’s super power. That and choosing to never be a victim to all the hardships she has survived. including a life-altering accident. It’s astonishing how much joy she has through it all! One thing her parents did right was name her. So strap your helmet on for this one! It’s a wild ride.



And please forgive the echo. I’m still working on improving my tech skills. It’s still worth the listen.
