Always check reaching against scripture. Just because it sounds good doesn’t mean it is Biblical.
How to live as a citizen of God's kingdom while serving as an ambassador to man's kingdom.
Always check reaching against scripture. Just because it sounds good doesn’t mean it is Biblical.
Always check teaching against scripture.
Jesus loves us too much to allow us to remain in our broken state.
Notice what Jesus did, he awayss built a relationship with ‘sinners’ first before calling them to a changed life. We’d all be wise to do the same.
This is so hard to trust at times. We’ve got to trust the Word of God, especially during the impossible times.
Jesus chooses sinners, forgives them, heals and changes them.
Roughly 700 years before Christ this passage in Isaiah recorded.
In a broken, difficult, and hopeless world, God made a way.
Don’t let the world dictate and direct what you should value!
Everything else is crap compared to knowing Christ Jesus. Does your heart reflect that?
Humility starts when we take off the rose-colored glasses of self-love so we can see ourselves as unworthy sinners. - John MacArthur
This is sitting really heavy with me this morning. From John MacArthur’s book, The Pillars of Christian Character:
“Perhaps one of the greatest torments of hell is the knowledge that the pain will never cease. Such is the epitome of hopelessness.”
All of us deserve hell. We’ve all sinned. Those of us who have accepted the unfathomable gift of grace from Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross have our sins already paid for.
Pray hard for your unbelieving family and friends.
Clear is kind. Unfortunately, we’ve abandoned that in our culture.
Sadly, many choose to stay in the darkness. They avoid the light. The light is revealing. It is humbling. The darkness conceals a lot.
My prayer this morning is that all would run to the light.
Had to do a quick video today!
John the Baptist set the example.
A ministry should point to Jesus. Our good deeds should point to Jesus.
Too many ministries and people are concerned about credit, social media followers and weekly church attendance.
As John says in John 3:29 “…I am filled with joy at his success”, the focus needs to be on Jesus.
Looking at your actions, how well do you love others? How do you show compassion for those in need? Do you just ‘feel bad’ or do you do something about it?
Ever feel like you really screwed up this time and God’s grace couldn’t possibly work for you this time?
Well, God is never stingy with grace! Think about Paul… a violent unbeliever who became a major force for the Gospel.
Gods grace is enough.
Jesus mission was to die for sinners. He did that. It is finished.
His second coming will be different. Always be ready!
Seems like everyone who is a Christian and has social media has shared their thoughts and the authenticity of this revival. So now, it is my turn.
The wrong way: Just follow your heart!
The proper way: Walk in obedience to God.
We live in the time which many within the church are unwilling to hold strong, doctrinal convictions, because they think they’ll come across as unloving. But that’s not what the prophets, apostles, and reformers would’ve done it because it is not scriptural. The church does not need weak pastors, preaching weak messages to weak congregations— it needs strength of character derived from a biblical foundation. - John MacArthur (The Pillars of Christian Character)
“An unsettled grudge needs to be resolved and reconciliation ,use occur before we can render true worship to God. we must do all we can to settle any anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness we hold toward a brother or sister in Christ, or that he or she holds towards us.” - John MacArthur, The Pillars of Christian Character
As the world becomes darker and darker, those with the light of Jesus will be more obvious and disturbing to the darkness.
Someone brings a flashlight into a well lit room, barely notice it. Bring a flashlight into a dark room, it stands out much more.
Same light both times.
Let that light shine!

Many have heard ‘the love’ chapter in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 verses 4-7. Less often quoted verses 1-3 spoke to me this weekend. Let’s let love lead the way in our lives this week and always.
“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.” - 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NLT
Creation does not have the ability to satisfy your heart. When you ask the created thing to do what it was not designed to do, you get short term fulfillment, so you have to go back again and again. Because you have to go back again and again, rather than leaving you full and satisfied, they created world, leaves you fat, addicted, and in debt. -Tripp
