Though we didn’t take home the overall win against Brownsville Pace, our Chiefs showed their grit, determination, and exceptional skill on the court! We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible victories achieved by some of our top players:

🏆 Ivan Lugo & Allisson Lopez in Mixed Doubles—securing a fantastic win with a score of 6-4 / 6-2!

💪 Desteny Marquez in Singles—dominating her match with a brilliant 6-4 / 6-3 victory!

🔥 Ivan Lugo again, in his Singles match—battling through and claiming a hard-fought win with a score of 6-1 / 6-4!

Every match was a display of passion, perseverance, and teamwork. We’re so proud of how our Chiefs represented our school and left it all on the court. Keep shining, Chiefs! 🌟

We wish the athletes and coaches the best of luck this season. All schools must be proud of what the coaches do, spending every day with their athletes to not only improve their game but to teach them important life lessons. The same goes for the school staff, families, and others who support the students so that they can give it their best on the field on Friday nights. Good luck to all the bands, cheerleaders, dance teams, and everyone who makes Friday Night Lights just that more special.

Donna Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Dominguez has recognized the staff of LeNoir Elementary School for their exceptional achievement in improving the school's academic growth index by 38 points in just one year. This significant progress was attributed to the hard work and collaboration of the entire team, under the dedicated leadership of Principal Karen Nieto. The Donna Redskins will take on the E-E Yellowjackets this week. The freshmen and JV teams will be traveling to E-E on Thursday, Aug. 29th. The Freshmen will start at 5:30pm and the JV team is set to start at 7:00pm.

Congratulations to our Freshmen Dark Lady Chiefs Volleyball Team for an outstanding performance at the Rio Grande City Tournament. Your Lady Chiefs were the runner up in the bronze bracket. They defeated Hidalgo, La Joya and Edcouch Elsa on their way to achieving this monumental feat. Great job ladies and keep up the great work! Chief Nation is extremely proud of you, and we wish you all continued success.
