“The removal of their beloved leader would be a far stronger rebuke to Israel than any which they could have received had his life and mission been continued. God would lead them to feel that they were not to make the life of their future leader as trying as they had made that of Moses. God speaks to His people in blessings bestowed; and when these are not appreciated, He speaks to them in blessings removed, that they may be led to see their sins, and return to Him with all the heart..” - PP 470.2

Nothing is arbitrary. God is speaking to us through all aspects of life. There’s always a lesson. May this Sabbath day reveal more of the voice and will of God in your life.

“Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with people as one who desired their good. He showed sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He invited them, ‘Follow Me.’

“We need to come close to the people by personal effort. If we would give less time to sermonizing and more time to personal ministry, greater results would be seen. The poor are to be relieved, the sick cared for, the sorrowing and the bereaved comforted, the ignorant instructed, the inexperienced counseled. We are to weep with those who weep and to rejoice with those who rejoice. Accompanied by the power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, this work will not, cannot, be without fruit.” - The Ministry of Healing, 73

Which Christian denomination is doing the most healing? Emphasis on “healing”, not “medicating.” That denomination is most closely doing the work of the Lord.

God is in the business of improving our quality of life. That doesn’t mean life is easy, nor that there will be no injuries or mishaps. What is does mean is that in a general sense, the people of God should be healthy. Then, with new, undeserved health (praise God), we should aim to spread good health to others.

“Trial is part of the education given in the school of Christ, to purify God’s children from the dross of earthliness. It is because God is leading His children that trying experiences come to them. Trials and obstacles are His chosen methods of discipline, and His appointed conditions of success. He who reads the hearts of men knows their weaknesses better than they themselves can know them. He sees that some have qualifications which, if rightly directed, could be used in the advancement of His work. In His providence He brings these souls into different positions and varied circumstances, that they may discover the defects that are concealed from their own knowledge. He gives them opportunity to overcome these defects and to fit themselves for service. Often He permits the fires of affliction to burn, that they may be purified.” - Acts of the Apostles 524.2

Like diamonds, faith is made more beautiful under pressure. The pressure also strengthens the gem, making it better at handling pressure! God is with you. More than ever before. You are now in the sufferings of Christ, and although it’s not easy, take it as an honor. Also, remember that the Lord is sweet enough to make sure no one trial lasts forever. Hold on. The “Calvary” is on the way.

“The Father’s presence encircled Christ, and nothing befell Him but that which infinite love permitted for the blessing of the world. Here was His source of comfort, and it is for us. He who is imbued with the Spirit of Christ abides in Christ. The blow that is aimed at him falls upon the Saviour, who surrounds him with His presence. Whatever comes to him comes from Christ. He has no need to resist evil, for Christ is his defense. Nothing can touch him except by our Lord’s permission, and ‘all things’ that are permitted ‘work together for good to them that love God,’ - Romans 8:28.” - MB 71.2

Christ knows the end from the beginning. He reasons cause to effect down to the last ripple, so we must know that if He’s allowed something into our lives, He must have good reason. He must have a loving reason.

Imagine the things the enemy has in mind before Christ filters his plans to only that which will work together for good.

We serve a God who thinks and plans ahead. He also loves us beyond measure. If He’s asked us to set work and busyness aside for a day, He must have planned a loving purpose, one that calls for our attention.

So when we rest on the Sabbath, we should do so expectantly, waiting for the outpouring of a special blessing. I pray yours be given in abundance this week.

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” - Proverbs 22:3

Sometimes pride keeps us from taking a step back and regrouping. However, there’s no shame in changing your mind once you’ve learned new information.

New experiences often give new perspectives and the Lord expects us to be willing to abandon our plans when He’s given clear instruction to do so.

Nathan the prophet, a man with the Spirit of Prophecy, once gave King David the clearance to build a temple for the Lord. Later, God tells Nathan that David should NOT be the one to build the temple. - 1 Chronicles 17

David probably got started immediately. He most likely felt a newfound joy and motivation having his plans confirmed. Yet, upon learning more about the will of God, David “fled” and abandoned his prior desires. In doing so, David gave himself more years to plan. By the time Solomon became king, David was able to give his son blueprints, resources, treaties with surrounding nations, and many other supports so that upon completion, Solomon’s temple became one of the wonders of the world (1 Chron 22, 28, 29). Allow because his father fled and regrouped.

The Spirit of God seizes me and I am compelled to get alone with God and fight the battle before Him. Until I do this, I will lose every time. The battle may take one minute or one year, but that will depend on me, not God. However long it takes, I must wrestle with it alone before God, and I must resolve to go through the hell of renunciation or rejection before Him. Nothing has any power over someone who has fought the battle before God and won there.” - Oswald Chambers

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

“Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” - James 4:7-10

“The consciousness of rightdoing is the best medicine for diseased bodies and minds. The special blessing of God resting upon the receiver is health and strength. A person whose mind is quiet and satisfied in God is in the pathway to health. To have a consciousness that the eyes of the Lord are upon us and His ears open to our prayers is a satisfaction indeed. To know that we have a never-failing Friend in whom we can confide all the secrets of the soul is a privilege which words can never express,” - 1T 502.1

In this world of trauma, heartache, over stimulation, and information overload, a still mind may seem like an impossibility, but Christ promises us peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid,” - John 14:27

The best medicine for an agonizing soul, is the assurance of peace with God.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

“Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” - Matt 13:44-46

God seeks to recalibrate our internal value system. If the Lord is the chief object of the heart, He’s our greatest treasure. Everything else falls short.

The interesting this is, He’s the only treasure that’ll never disappoint. 100% fool proof.

“The heathen systems of sacrifice were a perversion of the system that God had appointed; and many a sincere observer of heathen rites learned from the Hebrews the meaning of the service divinely ordained, and in faith grasped the promise of a Redeemer,” - Desire of Ages 28.

There are just as many false idols today, incorrectly receiving the adoration due to God alone. How do we handle it?

True worship shines light on false practices. The more dedicated we are to the religion of the Bible, the more interest we’ll gain from unbelievers. Those who are sincere tend to attract one another, despite differences.

Striving always bears fruit! Be blessed! 🙏🏾✝️💙

How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?” - Dwight L. Moody

“And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.” - Ezekiel 20:20

By the eye of faith the prophet Elisha saw that the Lord would soon deliver His people. Though defeated and undeserving, faith and repentance reconnect us to our Lord. If there’s heaviness in your life, become determined to seek the Lord until His arrows bring you peace.

“But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

“And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

“Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.” - 2 Kings 13:22-25

Though the curse of sin has caused the earth to bring forth thorns and thistles, there are flowers upon the thistles and the thorns are hidden by roses. All things in nature testify to the tender, fatherly care of our God and to His desire to make His children happy. His prohibitions and injunctions are not intended merely to display His authority, but in all that He does He has the well-being of His children in view. He does not require them to give up anything that it would be for their best interest to retain.” - PP 599.4

“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

“For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.” - Psalm 103:10-11

Learning about the Pope, the vaccine, climate change, the Freemasons, and the legislation leading to the Sunday law HAS REPLACED TRUE WORSHIP AND DEVOTION.

Let’s cling to Jesus brethren. Study His Word!

Ingest it. Pray for grace to obey it. Grace is power! Choose to obey it. Confess sin, compare Scripture to our own characters, “despise not the chastening of the Almighty”, and don’t let the blatant sins of others make us feel like our own secret little sins are no big deal.

When the Bible says, “Watch as well as pray,” it simply means to be aware of and to understand.

Understand something about the devil’s work in the shadows, but don’t study it so much that we become ignorant to what the Lord is waiting for . . .
. . A converted people.

If Jesus could look past a legion of devils to see the glimmer of hope inside the demoniac, surely we can look more lovingly on one another.

The male Australian Incubator Bird spends months building a massive nest. Then, the female inspects it. She checks it’s humidity, it’s size, it’s integrity, and even it’s temperature! They receive no training! This skill set is embedded in its DNA! How could this happen by random chance? If the nest gets too hot, the bird tosses sand on it to cool it down.
