I failed every year! 🙃

This year I'm being more realistic.

I'm sure most of us make new resolutions on 1st January related to hour sleeping time, eating habits, relationships, study or career, etc.

But how many of us really stick to it?

Let us accept that things can't change overnight.

👉 For instance, if you sleep at 3 a.m right now and pledge to sleep at 10 p.m from Jan 1, that's almost impossible. Because you are used to it, it won't happen.

To actually make it happen, start sleeping 15 min before and gradually make it happen.

I'm personally trying this and I'm confident, it would work.

Want to know how I onboard clients smoothly, while saving my time and effort? 🌚

Save the post and steal my process! 😌

1. Qualify the client to see if their budget and requirement meet yours.

2. Get on a discovery call to understand things in detail.

3. Follow up via e-mail and share your samples & price quotation/proposal if asked.

4. Send invoice & contract to finalize the deal securely.

5. Once your prospect becomes your client, conduct a meeting to understand in-depth goals, set milestones and communication expectations before beginning with the work.

Feel free to experiment with your Onboarding Procedure. But make sure you set a system to save your time and effort.

Mine looks the same. :P

Editing is what brings out its best. 🙌

👉 Here I've shared my 7-point editing checklist.

Without working on these, I never submit an article.

And almost every time my clients are 100% satisfied.

👉Although these are important, make sure you adhere to the brief shared by your client to match their tone, target audience, formatting, and other requirements.

👉 Another tip: Always edit after a few hours (or next day) and not instantly after writing.

As a new writer, I made a lot of mistakes. I still do. And everyone does. If you don't, that means you aren't pushing your limits or trying out new things. 📌

Typos and other minor mistakes in your pieces don't indicate the end of your writing career. ✍️

However, making some major mistakes like plagiarising or copying others' style, underestimating or underrating self or giving up in the initial days and not selecting a specific niche or not reaching out to people to spread the word about yourself can really set you back from becoming a great writer.

So, these were some 6 major yet common mistakes that newbie writers make.
