**15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY**

We would like to thank and congratulate, Lt. Jon Blaskowski on his 15 years of service with the Shawano County Sheriff's Office! Prior to being a Lieutenant, Jon worked as a patrol deputy and was promoted in January of 2021. Jon now serves as one of our dayshift patrol lieutenants. Jon has completed numerous leadership courses through FBI-LEEDA since being promoted. Outside of work, Jon volunteers his time through coaching youth sports and is also the Mayor of Gillett. Thank you, Lt. Blaskowski, for your leadership and dedication to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 AM CST FRIDAY...

WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches.

WHERE...Calumet, Winnebago, Brown, Menominee, Northern Marinette County, Northern Oconto County, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Marinette County, Southern Oconto County, and Waupaca Counties.

WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 6 AM CST Friday.

IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
More Information..WIDESPREAD ACCUMULATING SNOW EXPECTED TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...
A clipper type system will bring the first widespread accumulating snow to the region from this morning through early Friday morning. A band of 5 to 8 inches is expected from central to northeast Wisconsin during this time frame. Higher amounts of 7 to 10 inches are forecast near Lake Michigan where lake enhancement is expected. Lesser snowfall amounts will occur over north-central Wisconsin.
