Unbelievable !!! The festival reaction to “Harretz” news paper was”We did not know!” Really??? The director of the festival stood on stage and applauded!!!!

He also said these words in the press conference:
“Documentary filmmakers have known and have told us that these terrible events were coming. No matter how atrocious, it is not a surprise. The signs were clear, and filmmakers integrated them into their films. Films that have been shown at IDFA recently and over the past 36 years of the festival’s life. Films that tell us and remind us that oppression breeds extremism. That the lack of hope breeds anger and violence. That violence breeds violence”

את יום ההולדת הזו, אחגוג בפריז. נסיעה של תשע שעות ברכבת מברלין אל העיר הכי היפה בעולם. הזמנתי חדר באכסניה קסומה, בה שהיתי, לפני עשרות שנים, באחת הפעמים הראשונות שלי בעיר. חדר קטן, פשוט ובלי שירותים. מקום שמפגיש אותי עם הילד שהייתי או הילד שאני עדיין או זה שעדיין איתי. אותו ילד שאני לומד לאהוב וכל שנה שעוברת מקרבת אותי אליו יותר ויותר.
