Hi everybody, Pete Gould here. I know, it's been a while. A LOONG while.

On this day, three years ago, "The Adventures Of..." went dark as we lost one half of our founding members, Peter Alden. Ever since then, it has been hard for me to think of doing the show again. I did and still do have every intention of continuing with the show.

The first six months, I just couldn't bring myself to do the show. It was too hard and the memories were still too fresh. That slipped into a year. Then life got in the way.

The show WILL be back. I'm just not sure when. Until then, please keep Peter Alden's memory alive by listening to all the hijinks we got up over the course of 80+ episodes.

Peter Alden was one of my closest friends, and three years later, there is STILL a huge hole in life now that he's gone. I miss you , Pete!

And not even because SUPERMAN should have been recognized first, because, without him there IS NO Batman (or the Superhero Comic book industry as we know it)>

Call me old fashioned but the Hollywood Walk Of Fame should ONLY be for REAL HUMAN BEINGS who have worked in the industry. And on a PERSONAL note, some internet influencer or reality TV "star" does NOT belong in the same place as "Jimmy Stewart", "Meryl Streep" or "Steven Spielberg".

'Goonies are Good Enough' takes place 40 years after the first film and sees Sean Astins Mikey recruiting the old gang to help recover a secret stash of Treasure he hid as Insurance back in 1985 when he was a child just before the cave collapsed

Sean Astin has already signed up with Ke Huy Quan, Josh Brolin and Martha Plimpton already rumored to be attached

The blockbuster sequel is also rumored to be starring Daisy Ridley, Catherine O'Hara and Elijah Wood

'Goonies are Good Enough' lands Christmas 2026"

The SS Minnow was a 1964 Wheeler M/Y with a LOA of 38’6” and powered by a single 230hp Detroit Diesel with a dry weight of 20,600 LBS. With a displacement style hull she had a cruising speed of 9 knots, which means they only could have traveled 27 nautical miles outbound from "Honolulu" during the duration of their 3 hour tour (excluding return trip & no wake zones ). Figuring in a 3 knot storm drift USCG search grids would only have been about 150 square miles and fairly easy to rescue 🤔

Now I’m starting to doubt if this whole documentary was even real!

I have one or two minor quibbles with some of their choices that make absolutely NO sense but other than that, it's a damn near PERFRCT "Batman" animated series. NOT for the kiddies!

I love that it takes place in 1940, and Bruce Timm leans ever MORE into the gothic aesthetic that he pioneered in the Original "Batman: The Animated Series". The art deco of it all, the nighttime moodiness, the MUSIC it's all just perfect! In the words of Bruce Timm... “I wanted to blend the atmospherics of Universal horror movies and the drama of Warner Bros. gangster movies and the action of Republic serials and mix it all together with a lot of film noir on top.”

And that's EXACTLY what he did! I blew through the entire first season of 10 Episodes in two sittings. I would have done it all at once but I was tired when I started watching it on Friday night.

Definitely check this show out!!!

I wonder if this rig is any more comfortable than the tradition flying rig that only connected at the waist. It SEEMS like it would take a lot of pressure off of the midsection by hoisting up the legs and forming a more even distribution of weight. Thoughts?
