It’s starting to warm up, barely 😅, but I wanted to share something while I warm up before heading to Paris.

Photoshoots are made easy when the talent is creative and experienced! Fun one!! Captured using d750 and 70-200mm 2.8f lens. I can control the colors pretty good with that thing.

It’s funny, I didn’t get a chance to edit this during winter, but it’s fitting to post now in terms of how I feel about the bull_ _ _ _ us as black men continue to face these killings. I choose to follow the light on the path that will get justice one day, vs. anger and wanting vengeance this time around. It’s chess, not checkers, and a big part is to love those who have and show love for others! From there, things change, even though it seems quiet.

I love this photo because of how many shapes are there that can draw you attention to the subject. A little tip that can spice up your photo is to use your arms or legs to create clean lines to draw in the viewers attention.

In this case, the boot creates L to her shoulders, and it’s pleasant on the eyes, so you know where to look.

I really enjoy working with colorful styles when shooting. It really helps the camera pickup contrast, takes advantage of my camera’s dynamic range.

Folks, it doesn’t get any soother than this😎!! I my beard connected all the way like that!

Pro tip: the sun is your friend to control and diffuse light, but make sure indoors, you’ve brought, or have the right equipment even it out. Worst case scenario, don’t shoot manual, shoot portrait mode. This was done in manual, pretty much the only way I shoot at this point.

This is a great capture with . Mastery of natural light is fun but challenging at the same time. It’s a chance to get out and enjoy the elements, but you have to find a way to diffuse the light for the total body. This a great one. Control the crap out of what you can control, have a great weekend.
