Alison Traina and I took some time today to process what the Roe decision means for us as white people who are working to dismantle systems of oppression, and as people with a direct stake in abortion rights being protected.
In the days and weeks to come, we'll be sharing commentary, resources and calls to action from BIPOC-led reproductive justice groups. Check those out, move money if you can, and support action if you can.
We stand in solidarity with all people with uteruses, and especially with People of Color whose bodily sovereignty has been denied by the state through abortion bans, policing, incarceration and other systems of social control. We are committed to seeking out and following the lead of organizers of color. We are also committed to acting to shift systems, power and resources so that all of us can be truly free.
