Oh boy. That was a while ago! Going out on a mini adventure in my own country. With my camera & drone. And of course packed with some coffee and a pink glazed cake

Don’t know why it took me so long to go on an adventure again. I needed some free time but especially some new inspiration. Strange because our country has many beautiful places. But hey.. long story short, I went to Laren where I walked through amazing heather with some autumn sunshine.

Unfortunately the heather wasn’t in bloom anymore but it still colored purple and pink.

Maybe that’s why my pink glazed cake tasted so well over there 😉

"I'm happy when I'm on the road" This is what volcano photographer Cris Tioala Olivares says in interview.

I immediately noticed that these words really moved me. To be on the way..

It’s been two weeks since we got back from our world trip. An epic trip where we’ve seen (& eaten) so much. Tropical beaches, the most lush jungle, exotic animals and beautiful historic Mayan temples.

But how amazing all these highlights were, the moments in between are maybe the most valuable. Leaving a place and reflecting how beautiful that place really was. Staring out the window at the landscapes that pass by. Views to infinity. Peaceful silence. Sometimes. And feeling excitement about the new destination.

And during all these moments we realized that this is the life we want to live. Being on the go. Exploring new places. With people you love the most.

And preferably somewhere where the sun always shine ;)

What an adventure! Just returned from our nearly 100-day world trip through Central America and the Netherlands Antilles.

I came back with so much inspiration, gratitude and loads of content and stories that I will be sharing with you soon!

🙌 Everyone wants to drive a 4x4 Toyota beast through Costa Rica, right? And then you also want to drive through roads where you are surrounded by only palm trees. Two time right, right? And then for dessert that the road also has a view of some epic mountains?

Ok.. maybe I'm not completely objective and for my enthusiasm but this was definitely a highlight during our 4x4 experience in Costa Rica. Holy moly, what a road and what a moment!

And glad that I brought my drone with me to capture this magical moment ✨

First 🇬🇷 drop! And this one is an ode to the amazing area.

But our journey started in Athens where we met the guys from , Agi & Tom. Guys who are so passionate about the Peloponnesos area, cycling & good food. And they invites people (& us) to experience all of that in an ultimate cycling holiday.

After a 2,5 hour drive we arrived at the peninsula . Our area for the rest of our trip. An unknown area for me but also for many tourists. Tourist often travel to all the Greek islands which are also beautiful. But in this area there is so much history, so many stories, so much untouchedness and so much love for the good life.

The local men who gather here early in the morning on the square to enjoy their coffee. The delicious pure fruit that grows everywhere. The fierce climbs in the mountains of Sparta. The tranquility and azure blue coastlines with the vibrant coastal town of Kalamata as one of the highlights. And so I can go on and on.

Oh boy, I really enjoyed the Greek life and what a privilege to be able to capture all this with my camera and drone. And all this under the guidance of and his cycling friends who also have so much passion for this area.

Thanks for having us! And a worth visit if you like cycling, exploring & living the good life 🤙

Sometimes it can be that easy.. Take the car (or bike or just walk), listen to some music on the way, meet up with a good friend , create awesome content together, learning some new video skills, explore a new beautiful area , meet local people who want to know what we are doing and eat a donut at the end of the day!

This was a pretty good day.

I recently looked in our photo books. For a while I was back in sunny Cambodia. Exactly 7 years ago.

What a journey. No daughter, just the two of us. Four weeks of exploring this amazing country and enjoying life.

And I was amazed by the pictures that we shot at that time.
I still remember the most of them but I may now look with another perspective.

That's the beauty of photography. One picture can tell several stories.
And it never gets boring to watch.

Warming up for 2021 ✨Last year we celebrated New Year’s Eve with friends. Besides all the champagne we wrote a letter of intent, stuck it on a 🚀 and shot it into the sky. A tradition that I didn’t know yet, but I love fireworks and intentions, so count me in!

Not very concrete but these themes have been given a nice representation of this year with the termination of my job, the start of , nice collaborations and some interesting insights about myself.

And despite the travel restrictions, I visited beautiful destinations to shoot content and enjoyed a long summer holiday in France with my family.

Winter has arrived ❄️ And we certainly felt that last week on the most northern part of Holland’s mainland, The (Dutch) North Cape.

For me it was one of the highlights during our content shoot for the Groningen province. The idea that you cannot travel higher in the Netherlands than this.

But how quiet and empty the final destination was, the journey itself was the most special; the roads through deserted villages, the endless views and the horses, geese and buzzards that accompanied us on the way.

I like days like this!

This Is Holland 🇳🇱 What an adventure again. The most northern region of our country .groningen through the eyes of maestro , myself and all the camera gear!

Due to the weather conditions and no-fly areas I was unfortunately not able to drone a lot. But that makes you appreciate the material you do have much more.

This moment was as it should be. The sun broke through the clouds and in the distance we drove to the most picturesque village. It will not be more Dutch than this. The emptiness, the meadows, a lonely cyclist 😉 and a church of course.

Step by step!

Nooo I don’t mean the awesome hit single from New Kids on the Block in the early 90’s. Yes I’m that old ;)

‘Step by step’ is a good metaphor for how my business is doing right now. Slowly building on my own empire 😎 With all the high/lowlights, fun & learnings. Tell you more about that later.

To make the circle round (a Dutch saying I guess).. I post this Sydney photo from our sabbatical journey last year because this week I decided to focus myself on (commercial) travel photography, besides creating online content for entrepreneurs. My passion for content creation was born during traveling.

Ofcourse COVID challenges us all to explore the world. But we have an awesome backyard (Holland) and there’s enough to discover around here.

So I’m also going to fuel our wanderlust with awesome spots & pictures 🤩 Maybe at first with some pictures from my earlier holidays but hopefully soon with a bunch of fresh made pictures & videos.

Out of office ✌️

One of the biggest changes after quiting my (account director) job at an advertising agency is being more & more outside.

Outside in beautiful nature, roadtrippin’ through Holland for , the Ardennes, the Cote d’Azur or just outside on a parking lot 😎

This day in June I was shooting for entrepreneur The perspective on the ground was already nice but once up in the air with the drone it became next level awesome ;) The concrete squares, the roughness and the cycling models as icing on the cake.

Sometimes all we need is a change of perspective... Amen 🙌
