For this past Memorial Day celebration; my daughter recommended a visit to Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA. There is a colonial mansion on the site that is worth seeing and is maintained in its original (close to)state. (A photo of the East side of the mansion. I believe?) There are paved and unpaved trails to walk/hike at the park since neighboring farm land from the colonial period is also included with the mansion property....

On 26 June 2022, my daughter (Beth) and I decided to go do a day hike of the Flagstaff Switch Back Trail in Jim Thorpe, PA. We actually had a weekend where it wasn't raining or bad weather so it was time to hit the trail. The trail starts in downtown Jim Thorpe and ends at Mauch Chunk Lake. The trail is easy and follows along a stream that comes from the lake....
