Evangeline mukami went through Female Ge***al Mutilation at the tender age of 11 and has since had to grapple with the painful memories, not forgetting thelth problems that came with the unfortunate incident. Now40, the mother of 3 has now taken to creating awareness about the vice which is still silently rampant in her community. She says that prosecution remains low considering that it remains hushed and not even the next door neighbour is aware of it, leave alone the authorities.
