Boone County Joint Communications fielded upward of 30 noise complaint calls from about 10 area residents.
Scott Alan Barker, 31, was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a child.

Ashland Police Chief Gabe Edwards placed on paid administrative leave.
An interim chief will be appointed by the Board no earlier than tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. No other details will be disclosed at this time until the personnel matter is concluded.

SENIOR GRADUATION TIME! Would you like to wish a Southern Boone graduating senior, or the class, congratulations and good luck? Now is your opportunity! The May 24th edition of the Boone County Journal will be highlighting senior pictures, a great time to put a highlight in the paper for those family photo albums. Message prices are: $25 for a 2x2 statement, $40 to add a small picture to the 2x2, $50 for a 2x4 with picture, and $75 for a 3x4 with picture. Pictures can include a baby photo, family photo, etc., but must be within newspaper standards. To submit your request email [email protected]
