In this update from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada), there are some key points you need to know for 2024. Let's break it down:

1. Financial Update: Starting January 1, 2024, single applicants will need to show $20,635 for new study permit applications. Budget accordingly!

2. Institutional Support: Visas and Learning institutions are probably going to be capped in accepting students to ensure adequate support, including housing options. Choose wisely!

3. Work Off-Campus: Good news! The 20-hour/week work limit off-campus, while classes are in session, is extended until April 30, 2024. Act fast – applies to current students and those who applied until Dec. 7.

4. Online Study Impact: If you start your program before September 1, 2024, the time spent studying online (less than 50% of the program) still counts toward a post-graduation work permit. Plan accordingly!

5. Work Permit Extension: Post-graduation work permit holders expiring up to December 31, 2023, can apply for an additional 18-month work permit. Keep building your career path!

Just had the most amazing time at an all-women professional networking event last week! It was such a powerful space filled with inspiring women from various fields. The best part? We were encouraged to discuss anything we wanted. 🗣️

During the discussion, I had a bit of an aha moment. 🤯 I realized that I've been spreading myself thin by trying to juggle multiple, very different passions and projects. On one hand, I absolutely love all of them, but on the other, I've been neglecting the potential for true mastery in any one area.

From creating content to wedding and events, and even in financial industry, I'm all over the place, and they all bring me joy. But, I've come to understand that in order to truly excel, it might be time to focus and prioritize. 🎯

So, my newfound commitment is to streamline my efforts and concentrate on one or two of these incredible ventures. It's tough to say no to some of the other exciting opportunities, but this newfound clarity has given me a sense of direction.

In the end, the networking event was not just about connecting with amazing professionals but also about gaining insight into my own journey. It's all about growth, and I can't wait to see where this newfound focus will take me! 🚀

FYI! Most clinics in Canada are close after 5pm on weekdays and close on weekends. Meaning you have to reschedule getting sick to weekdays morning and never on the weekend.
