We all want to be heard. Sometimes, however, we play a role in not being heard by how we speak.
If what we have to say is important, we have to choose words that are appropriate & respectful as well as a tone that is easy to hear.
Picking on the other person, using sarcasm or insults will divert the focus from the actual message. The other person will be more likely to defend or retaliate.
Before you speak, be mindful of the outcome that you want - then phrase your message in a manner that is most likely to lead to that outcome.
