I had finished the RMS Olympic a while ago but never printed it in this color. Therefore, this model was again overhauled and the details optmiert and thus she shines in the current simple monochrome design

Finally, I can also present the NS Savannah to you. The most complicated thing here was definitely the masts. Unfortunately, they can't be printed just like that, but have to be printed and attached separately. This makes the whole thing a bit fiddly but in the end it looks quite good :)

After far too long, I have finally finished a model again. The Empress of Britain. A really beautiful ship, but it cost me a few nerves again.

After a very long time and many hours of research, as well as some test printing, I finally managed to finish Normandy. I started the project last year in March. I'm not always the fastest when it comes to creating models but I just need the time to get away from it all every now and then to get a fresh perspective. It's the only way I can see mistakes that I would otherwise have overlooked. But in the end it's the result that counts and I'm happy to be able to present the Normandie, my biggest ship so far :)
A short video to get you started, pictures will follow.

One of my biggest challenges after creating a printable model is to then colour it. Since I can't really do that well in real life, I try to do it digitally. But here it is always a new battle to improve myself. One big construction site remains, smoke and foam.

It has taken a long time, a lot of time has passed. Unfortunately, the person who gave it its name passed away in the meantime, but in the end I still managed to finish the QE2. That was not so easy in FDM. But in the end I am very satisfied, even if not everything is perfect. Nevertheless, I love this form. The new base should support the monochromaticity even more. I hope you like the final result :)

After a while of rest, we are finally moving on, next goal, completion of the QE2

I had just seen another documentary about the crossing of the English Channel by Louis Bleriot. I just felt like honouring this pioneering deed in a small cube picture. In 1909 there was no Titanic, but the Oceanic was still in service. So why not just a fictitious meeting of the two and yes, I know that this could not have taken place in 1909. Still, maybe in the years after, after all 800 of these planes were produced in the years after.

It's been a while since I took a cube picture. Today I just felt like doing it again, and so I depicted the RMS Carpathia in what might be her last hours.

Today I have finally given my free Titanic version, a stand with plaque. Even if the old model is of course not so detailed, I find it with this stand quite decorative.

I haven't posted much here lately, sorry. But this week, on the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, I have the first pictures of my reworked Titanic. This model is primarily adapted for a 0.3 nozzle to get a bit more detail out of it. The test print is running and I hope everything works out :)

I have finally finished the model of the Peoples' Friendship. The reason for this ship was mainly because I had halfway usable documents from her and then I will derive the Stockholm from this model.

A new year and a new model right at the beginning. This time it's not an ocean liner, but a ship that may not be familiar to everyone. The Estonia was a RoPax Baltic ferry that sank on 28 September 1994 on its way from Tallinn to Stockholm. With 852 victims, the sinking of the Estonia is the gravest Somehow this story has always stayed in my head. The model was something completely different and I also had to break new ground in terms of printing. In 1:1000 and by means of FDM printing it was again partly demanding to print but in the end I have a great model in front of me again

The year 2021 is coming to an end and I would like to say a few words to thank you all. I hope you all survived this year in good health. For almost everyone it was another year without normality. I was able to construct some great ships this year and it was a lot of fun to share them with you.

I hope that I can continue this next year and that some more great models will see the light of day.

I wish you all a happy new year and to all who have already made it, a healthy new year 2022.

I create a simple overview of the digital model to help with painting the ships. This will give you a better idea of how the painting could be done. These guidelines are for the 1:1000 models and therefore not worked out to the last detail, as this would be difficult to implement in this small scale. I try to reproduce the colours accurately but of course I do not claim 100% authenticity.

I wish you all a great Christmas and that you and your loved ones can enjoy these contemplative days in peace and quiet.
