Make Californians Pay California Taxes Growth can be good, but growth is out of control. We need to find a way to control it. The best way is to make those moving here pay the taxes they are escaping.

We welcome political refugees from California BUT

1) The huge influx isn't fair to Idahoans being priced out. Making them pay their taxes means fewer people choosing here, which means lower property prices and rent

2) Idaho taxes aren't designed to support infrastructures like schools and roads for millions of people. Making Californians pay their own taxes means we now have a way to pay for them moving here.

Idaho is a welcoming state. We just want to Idahoans to live here as well

Everybody knows that the cost of housing is out of control because of everyone who is moving here. There are simply more people than there are places to live.

It's gotten so bad that many Idahoans are getting priced out of their own state. In fact, the average wage in Kootenai County is $25,190 but the median price of a house in Coeur d'Alene is $438,000. This cannot go on.

Especially when they move here and then vote for higher taxes - which are still less than they paid in California.

Simply banning growth is not legal nor good for our economy. So what can we do instead?

We can take away some of the incentive to move here.

We can make Californians, and everyone who is moving here, pay California taxes for 5 years so that it becomes less attractive to move here.

Plus, the extra income (which will be levied in a series of annual impact fees) would pay for the growth and infrastructure that we need to support the population growth. The extra schools, police, and roads will be paid for by the people moving here - who made that work necessary in the first place.

Of course we can, and need to do more. Hit the follow button above! Following this page means you can share and spread ideas for a sustainable future for all Idahoans, not just people moving here.

BOISE (Idaho Statesman) – If you’ve lived in Idaho for more than 5 minutes, you’ve heard exasperated comments from Boiseans worried about the area’s incessant growth. “There’s no more room!” they vent. Turns out they might have a point. In a new study from personal finance website Wall...

The truth is, more Washingtonians are moving to Idaho than Californians. But point taken.

If we can't stop it, we should at least make them pay for it.

Why are housing prices so high? Easy.

Because there are more people moving here than there are houses available for them.

But even with record breaking construction, we can't keep up with demand - so housing prices go up.

Even worse, they are developing more and more land, and turning the our area into the high-tax hellhole they fled complete with radical Left-wing policies.

Growth is good. But not this type. What can we do about it?
