Last week deputies were dispatched to a robbery at a local business where the suspect brandished a weapon. The suspect exited the business with a shopping cart full of merchandise to a waiting vehicle. Dispatchers put the description out and deputies quickly identified the suspects on the freeway that lead to a high-risk car stop. The suspect and driver were identified, along with the merchandise that was stolen and the weapon that was brandished. The suspect was arrested for robbery and conspiracy to commit crime. The driver in the awaiting vehicle was arrested for conspiracy to commit crime and active warrants.

Around 3pm today Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire at 10 EL PRISMA in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita. Units arrived to find smoke showing and upgraded to a working fire. Quick work by firefighters prevent the spread of the fire. Cause of the fire is under investigation but may have started in an Oven, but unconfirmed. Thank You and Shout Out to Orange County Sheriff's Department, CA for always being cool with media 🤙

A bank robber who opened fire on a teller at a Chase bank in Lake Forest and took off with $31,000 is still at large, Orange County authorities say.

Chase Bank Robbery A Undisclosed Amount of Money Was Stolen, 1 Round was fired No One Was Injured. Still Unknown If Suspected Or Someone-else Fired The Round. and Is Actively Investigating This. The FootHill Ranch Town Center Where Ralph’s Is Located At Bake And Portola Is Currently Closed. Suspect Or Suspects Still Outstanding. More Info To Come As It Becomes Available.

On the evening of Thursday, October 10, at about 7pm, the OCSD received multiple calls for service in the Ladera Ranch community regarding multiple residential burglaries which occurred within a short period of time.

We ask for the community's assistance in remaining vigilant, being pro-active by making your home an undesirable target, and by reporting all suspicious activity, persons, and vehicles. Your Southeast Unincorporated deputies will continue to conduct patrol checks of the community.

Roughly a 2-3 acre brush fire broke out today at Portola and Ranch in the City of Lake Forest - Government behind SaddleBack Church. Quick work by Orange County Fire Authority prevented the fire from spreading. Firefighters are currently mopping up hot spots. A possible person of interest is currently OCSD - Lake Forest Police Services sub station. Cause of the fire is currently unknown, but an area of interest is caution taped off and OCFA investigators are on scene. OC HAWK
