Are you hopping on the 2022 Marketing Trend Train?! (toot toot) Here's the thing about trends, my friend:
They can be a great way to up your marketing game, boost your performance and keep your content so fresh and so clean clean...
BUT they can also be distracting and a waste of your time, depending on your brand, ideal customer and overall marketing strategy. 🤷🏼♀️
So before I go chasing shiny new trends, I always like to remind myself of the Golden Rule of Marketing to decide which trends will actually be worth my time and help me get the results I want.
Want to hear more about 2022 Marketing Trends, plus the Golden Rule of marketing??
In this week's new Episode 102 of the #FeelGoodSocialPodcast, I'm sharing 7 Social Media Marketing Trends you can add to your strategy in 2022!
Plus in today's new Minisode 30, I'm chatting more about this Golden Rule of Marketing that will help you decide which trends are for you. 😘
Simply head to feelgoodsocial.com/podcast to tune in now!

I want Feel Good Social to help you FEEL WILDLY GOOD, whoever / however / whatever / whenever / why-ever YOU ARE. 🌻
Our community is here to accept you and love you; to pump you up and cheer you on; to listen without judgment and support without shame.
To help you lean into YOU and feel freaking good about the way you're showing up for your brand, your people and your life. 💛
And just so we're clear, "feeling good" doesn't necessarily mean being happy-go-lucky all the time. 😘
Because believe me, I know how lonely, frustrating, sad, scary, overwhelming, exhausting (and all the other terrible descriptors) social media, entrepreneurship and life, in general, can feel.
But it doesn't *always* have to feel that way. And when it does, you don't have to go it alone, my friend. 😊
That's why I'm building our new Feel Good Social Club on the foundation of:
1. Non-judgment (of yourself and others)
2. Realness (so you never feel like you gotta fake it)
3. Pep Talks (and friendly kicks in the booty, when needed)
4. Joy & Creativity (because enough things in life are already a drag)
5. Taking Action (even if it's teetering baby steps)
6. Belonging & Support (because we're in this together)
7. Celebrating Each Other (because you're awesome and I'm awesome and we're awesome 🤗)
👆 does this feel like a community that's speakin' your language?

When I started my biz, I thought I needed to be "professional" to see success. I saw big name entrepreneurs wearing lots of black and using big puffy marketing words - so I followed their lead.
And it really sucked. 😆
I hated that I had to be TRYING all the time.
I didn’t want to be stressing about breaking a nail or lint-rolling dog hair off my tidy black clothing.
And I really didn’t want to be spitting out a mouthful of shiny marketing lingo that makes people’s eyes glaze over.
Remember that old “wah wah” teacher from Charlie Brown? 👈 That’s how my brain reacts when some hoity toity person tries to “out-knowledge” me. In fact, I often groan and roll my eyes at those types of people. 🤣
So, why was I trying to be one?
I kept hearing "experts" shouting about how we SHOULD do this and NEED to do that...
But their tactics didn't align with my beliefs, lifestyle or how I want to help people.
I did not want say: "You NEED to show up everyday on every platform with fresh content."
Because when you're wearing all the hats and doing all the things, I know that’s simply not possible.
Nor did I want to tell you that you SHOULD be available to respond to DMs within 5 minutes of receiving them...
Because as someone who wants to enjoy life, I don't want you to feel like you're chained to your phone.
I was over it - so I made a conscious decision to lean into who I really am, and I started exploring what I truly believe. Then, I had a big epiphany.
I realized the stuff I actually want to teach:
+ Being real and authentic
+ Telling your stories in a purposeful way
+ Nurturing genuine relationships with your human ideal customers
+ Creating a social media plan-of-attack that’s actually doable for you
+ Setting boundaries for yourself so you don’t feel like it’s taking over your life
+ And finding joy in the pr
