Crispy but light and airy inside, Adam Goldberg started learning how to make bagels out of his kitchen in Connecticut 3 years ago and since then their bagels, from Pop Up Bagels, has won best bagels during bagelfest 2 years in a row, featured on the New York Times and is ranked #1 on the beli app as the best bagels in New York. He has brought his bagels here in NYC at a storefront location this past year in 2023 and is located at 177 Thompson Street in the West Village of Manhattan.

Tamales are a traditional Mexican breakfast dish that is made with a corn based dough filled with a a variety of meats or cheese and spices. Miguel of Don Paco in Sunset Brooklyn walks us through how they are made. Traditionally they are created using lard which contains trans fat and is hydrogenated. Miguel's daughter, a Dietitian, convinced the family to change their recipe to swap out lard and use oil instead which is a healthier alternative for the well being of their long term customers, for their health.

Conchas / Pan Dulce is a type of Mexican sweet bread with a sugar coating typically dipped in coffee and hot chocolate when eaten, sometimes even in soda (Sprite, Coke) by youths who enjoy them. Miguel of Don Paco Lopez Panaderia in Sunset Park, Brooklyn talks about how his family bakery has been making them for the past 50 years coming from a long lineage of bakers. He talks about how his his father was taught by his grandfather how to bake starting from the the age of 6 and the struggles they have had as a business throughout the years.

J & V pizzeria has been operating since 1950 and is one of the most beloved local slices of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. In addition to having one of the best round and square slices, they serve Jojo sandwiches unique to their pizzeria - it is served with chicken, meatballs or eggplant in the middle with bread that melts in your mouth. Tasting menu from which is a seafood focused restaurant in Flatiron, Manhattan. Their current chef previously worked at a two Michelin star rated restaurant and draws French & Japanese influences in their dishes.

On the preset menu we had:
Dressed oysters
Fluke tartare
Arancini
Roasted oysters
Cavatelli
Branzino
Thai milk cake

Each dish was paired with a new alcoholic beverage ranging from champagne to wine to sake. (This is an optional add on).

Every dish that came out had great attention to detail as to which were added on, flavors were really bold. A must try if you are a seafood lover

Grand opening of in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Representing cuisine that pays homage to immigrants that came to this country for better life, owners Harvey and Munzzy left their corporate jobs to open up this restaurant which is 3 years in the making, paying rent the entire duration and struggling to make it through the pandemic.

Housed in an ultra modern and sleek restaurant, is named after the popular Chinese novel and show The Monkey King, Journey to the West. With the father as the head chef, you will see traditional Chinese dishes with a slight modern twist to it. A lovely vision and concept run by fantastic people

The best of the best Italian bakery in NYC, in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Emmanuele Alaimo and Julio Peralta are two of the owners at this historic Italian bakery.

Some items I love from here are their gelato, lobster tail, marzipan, and their pignoli, pistachio and coconut cookies. Numerous ingredients are imported directly from Italy!

The full museum of ice cream experience and walkthrough located in Soho, Manhattan 558 Broadway in New York City. You can have as much ice cream or popsicles as you like. The entire experience takes roughly an hour to complete and you may reenter to restarted the entire experience as many times as you'd like.
