Meet Cooper 👋

Cooper is a 7 year old Golden Retriever with a huge fear of fireworks. Generally, Cooper is the perfect dog but when it comes to those New Years Eve fireworks he transforms into a destructive, panicking pooch.

Cooper's owners started desensitising Cooper to the sounds of fireworks using Charlotte Bryan's .

Cooper is now starting to show improvement and doesn't panick quite as much when he hears fireworks and other loud noises.

This podcast is focusing on the sounds of fireworks. Many dogs get nervous during fireworks and a common reason for this is simply because they're so loud.

To desensitise your dog to fireworks, simply play this podcast next to your dog when they are in their crate or on their bed. For this to work, you need to regularly play these sounds for you dog. For the first session, keep the volume on your phone low so you don't scare your dog. Reward your dog for not reacting to the sounds they hear. Once your dog is comfortable and ignoring the sounds, try increasing the audio gradually over a number of sessions until your dog stops responding to the sounds when the volume is at its fullest.

Meet Bandit 👋

Bandit is a 10 year old Jack Russell cross and all his life he has been terrified of thunderstorms!

Bandit's owners knew something had to be done and so sought the help of Charlotte Bryan who suggested playing her podcast for Bandit.

It took 10 sessions to desensitise Bandit to thunderstorms because of his lifelong phobia. But, "it was definitely worth it" said his owners.

Now Bandit stays more calm during storms and now does not get as anxious!

Bandit will continue to have more sessions periodically in the future to maintain his desensitisation to storms.

Well done Bandit!
