Hausa language belongs to the Chadic branch of afros-asiatic language family. Is the pillar of our people ,it's the foundation of our culture, it's our sign of unity through which all hausa clans unite and come together as one indivisible unit.The hausa language is our pride.The language is our strength which unite us all
Hausa as a language had drawn the attention of several international countries that made it important to the extent its studied several countries and universities.It offers more job opportunities than any other indigenous language in Nigeria.
Hausa is the largest ethnic group in sub -saharan Africa.the language has been in existence for a 1000 years and will survive a 1000 more. As long as our language survives our people will always survive.
Hausa people they knew how to read and write long before the introduction of Western education
The Europeans came and met them with their own system of education,mode of dressing, political system..

The Hausa were also known as clever traders and businessmen, the Kurmi Market is among the oldest and largest local markets in Africa. It used to serve as an international market where North African goods were exchanged for domestic goods through trans-Sahara trade
Hausas were principally the most famous long distance traders in West and Central Africa according to Mark Cartwright( Hausaland). They were very ingenious people and curious to discover new places for their business.The Hausa states traded gold, ivory,salt, iron, tin, weapons, horses, dyed cotton cloth, kola nuts, glassware,metalware, ostrich feathers, and hides. water bags, saddles, harnesses,and sacks to transport goods for the region's trade caravans. Various crafts were organised into quilds which ensured standards were maintained and prices were kept fair.
Hausa agriculture, boosted by such techniques as crop rotation and the use of fertilizers, produced crops which included millet, sorghum, rice,maize, peanuts, beans, and onions. Also fishing and hunting were carried out and goatsraised and donkeys bred (the principal
form of transport). Each city had its own markets cities.Kasar Hausa also had international trademarkets where merchants sold inbulk.Hausa culture is rich in traditional sporting events such as Boxing, Wrestling....
Before the advent of British,Hausa communities were so learned,well trained in the art of leadership and they have their own architecture design.Hausa architecture is one of the most beautiful style and well built. Walls are made thicker to support the roof and maintain cooler indoor temperatures.their traditional styles remain a vital part of African architecture.
