We usually talk about pesticides one by one. But soil doesn’t work that way.
Soil accumulates substances over time.
What remains is not a single molecule, but a cocktail.
That cocktail doesn’t stay underground.
Soil is a living, connected system. What accumulates there can move into food, water, air and dust, and affect human health.
This is why current discussions on pesticide authorisations matter.
Speeding approvals while soil contamination and cocktail effects remain poorly monitored creates a blind spot.
Protecting human health means taking pesticide cocktails in soil seriously.
This is a soil security issue.
