There’s a difference between solitude and isolation. With solitude, you make a choice to take some time for yourself. Maybe you need to spend more time with God. Maybe you realize you were too busy and now it’s time to focus on things that matter the most. Maybe you just need to take time for self-care. Normally it’s for a certain period of time. When you go into isolation, though, you convince yourself that you don’t need anybody. And often times there’s really a sense of loneliness there whether you want to admit it or not. Jesus often went into solitude to pray and spend time with God. But He did not isolate himself from His disciples or the people He served.

Have your quiet moments. Spend time alone with God. Spend time alone to meditate on His Word, gather your thoughts, etc. But please do not isolate yourself. You can be isolating yourself from the very things or people you need.

Most people can say that they have gone through an experience that has changed their life, but some have endured much more than others.

Tangela's story chronicles her journey from abuse, neglect, and other forms of trauma to overcoming obstacles and stigmas that society tends to shy away from. Her story confronts these issues directly, and the reader goes with her as she navigates her hardships, trials, heartaches, and successes.

With God as her anchor and her experiences as her teacher, watch how Tangela transforms from what most would consider a "lost cause" to a proponent of the Gospel.

Imagine having hundreds of notes in your phone, then BOOM 💥 you have a book!

Many people say they don’t know where to start. For me, my first book came together with me writing notes in my phone. And over time I began putting them together and eventually came up with an outline. From the outline, it was a piece of cake.

It’s okay if you write a little at a time. Just write something. Every day. Don’t worry about sounding right or editing because you can fix that later. Just focus on outlining all that you want to cover in your book. And work on whatever comes easiest, even if it’s the last point in your outline. If you spend too much time on the difficult stuff, you’ll never get done. You can organize everything once you’re in the self-editing phase. Hope this helped someone.

Happy writing 🙂

Attention authors and future authors, we are accepting submissions. We publish books that are a form of ministry in some way. Whether it’s a story of what God has done in your life, a poetry book, or a fictional story, it has to inspire and encourage. You can submit at least your FIRST two chapters and/or your book’s outline for review. Even if it’s accepted now, publishing won’t start until Fall 2021 or later.

Submit your manuscript here: https://www.thinkinglikeavirtuouswoman.com/ministryinwriting
