📉 Good news for gold buyers in Bangladesh! Starting from Friday (August 18), the price of 22-carat gold will drop to Tk99,027 per bhori. This reduction of Tk1,751 per bhori has been announced by the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus), in response to the recent fall in local gold prices.

The new rates for other gold types are also adjusted: 21-carat gold will cost Tk94,595 per bhori, 18-carat gold will be priced at Tk81,064 per bhori, and for the traditional method, the price will be Tk67,534 per bhori.

It's worth noting that the price of silver remains unchanged. Previously, on July 20, the cost of top-quality gold hit an all-time high of Tk100,777 per bhori after an increase of Tk2,333. 💰📉

⭐️ Brazil star Neymar has officially completed his move from French champions Paris Saint-Germain to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, with the clubs agreeing a transfer fee of €90 million ($98.6m).

⚽️ "I have achieved a lot in Europe and enjoyed special times, but I have always wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities in new places," Neymar stated.

Elon Musk has expressed his interest in transforming TWITTER and taking it privately by making an offer to buy the company.

✨ According to an SEC filing, Musk has offered to acquire all the shares in Twitter he does not own for $54.20 per share, valuing the company at $41.4 billion. That represents a 38% premium over the closing price on April 1, the last trading day before Musk disclosed that he had become Twitter's biggest shareholder and an 18% premium over its closing price Wednesday.

📅 WhatsApp announced on Thursday that it’s adding emoji reactions to its chat app, letting you express your feelings toward a message without having to send an individual emoji as a message.
The feature will be relatively limited to start, only letting you react with six emoji (though, in my opinion, WhatsApp has picked most of the important ones). However, Will Cathcart, the head of WhatsApp, said that it will support “all emojis and skin-tones” in the future.

👉 Saudi astronomer Khaled Al-Zaqaq, said in a video clip posted on his official account on Twitter, that the fasting month will fall twice that year, first in January and then again in late December.
This is because the Islamic Hijri calendar is based on lunar cycles, while the Gregorian calendar marks the Earth’s passage around the sun.

Al-Zaqaq pointed out that, it is repeated once every 33 years, as it happened in 1965 and 1997, and it will happen in 2030 and repeat in 2063.

👴 Motoo Abiko, The co-creator of 'Doraemon', passed away at the age of 88. The famed Japanese manga artist was found dead outside his home, near Tokyo.

👉 Abiko met Hiroshi Fujimoto and created the 1969 “Doraemon” animated series. The two became popular by the joint pen name “Fujiko Fujio.” Abiko and Fujimoto, although they dissolved their partnership in 1987, due to creative differences led Abiko to adopt the pen name “Fujiko A. Fujio.” Fujimoto died in 1996 at the age of 62 from cancer.
