Circle of love… 🥰🐘❤️

Have you ever noticed adult elephants forming a protective circle around the little ones in the herd? It’s a powerful display of their strong social bonds and commitment to family.

This circle is often known as a “matriarchal huddle” and offers protection, guidance and community support for the babies of the herd.

At the heart of Etosha National Park in Namibia lies a waterhole that epitomises the circle of life. As the scorching sun hovers above the savanna, an enchanting spectacle unfolds at this life-giving spot.
Zebras 🦓🦓, adorned with their striking black and white stripes, approach the water's edge with cautious grace. Their thirst quenched, they step aside, making way for the next visitors to join the gathering.
Towering above them, elegant giraffes 🦒🦒 patiently wait their turn, their elongated necks reaching out for the refreshing drink. The scene is a harmonious dance of coexistence, where different species share this vital resource in perfect harmony.
Amidst the golden hues of the setting sun, the waterhole becomes a theatre of nature's wonders, offering a glimpse into the interconnectedness of life. Etosha's watering hole is not just a place of survival; it's a symbol of unity and the intrinsic value of every living being.

If you're heading to the beach for Labor Day weekend, please remember to be respectful of the local wildlife, especially the sea turtles who are still nesting and hatching right now. Some friendly reminders:
🚤 While boating, be aware of surfacing sea turtles and other marine life that may be in the area
👣 Leave Only Footprints: remove all personal belongings, furniture, and trash from the beach each day
🔦 White lights from flashlights & cell phones can scare off nesting turtles and disorient hatchlings
⚠️ Holes on the beach are hazardous for people and wildlife. Fill in holes and flatten sandcastles at the end of your beach day
💚 Have a fun, safe and healthy weekend everyone!
