The first thing I noticed about this Bond Omega Seamaster was how light it was to wear, with it being titanium, A lot lighter than the steel Searmaster I used to own. Of course a quartz watch can be expensive, if it's hand finished and assembled like a Grand Seiko you expect it to be. Some people think that quartz are just cheap watches, not true. In my collection I have both automatic and quartz, and I don’t favour one movement over the other. Now this brings me on to Tag Heuer and I can’t work out why they are so expensive compared to some other brands....

This will just be a short post about discounts on watches. I always ask for one, and expect to get one. Some people I know just don’t like asking. With some brands like Rolex, it’s almost impossible to get one, that doesn’t mean you can’t ask for some Rolex branded gear the AD might have. Today I had a look at this new Seiko 5 model and took a few quick pictures. It’s one of two two limited editions being released, the other is Peanuts ‘Surfboard’ This is the smaller of the two with a 36.37mm case size. It’s an automatic watch using the Seiko 4R36 movement. With a list price of £330 and limited to 6,500 I'm sure it will sell very well....

I got my first Seiko Speedtimer about 18 months ago in a trade, the Panda dial version. The right size for me, 39mm case size, a fairly short lug to lug, so it fitted my thin wrist well. After a two-year break, Nick Tandy returns to the Porsche Motorsport works squad. In 2023, the 38-year-old UK driver will compete for overall victories in the 963 fielded by Porsche Penske Motorsport. The first test drives in the new prototype for the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship are planned for December. Porsche is determined to win both the manufacturer’s and drivers’ titles in the GTE-Pro class at the final round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship. Due to the longer race duration of eight hours in Bahrain, victory will be rewarded with 38 points instead of the usual 25 points.
