*J&K Bank branch looted in Kishtwar, Rs 19 lakh stolen*

Kishtwar, Feb 03 (KNO): Thieves looted 19 lakh rupees from the J&K Bank branch located in Dachan area of Kishtwar district, officials said on Monday.

An official told the news agencyβ€”Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that unidentified persons decamped with cash from the J&K Bank branch in Dachan today.

He stated that approximately 19 lakh 50 thousand rupees were taken from the branch, which remains usually cut-off during the winter period.

Efforts are underway to identify the robbers, officials said. β€œCCTV footage is being analyzed, and an investigation has been initiated,” the official addedβ€”(KNO)

*ED Srinagar Attaches Properties At Delhi, Jammu And Haryana Worth 5.91 Crore*

Srinagar, January 15(GNS): Enforcement Department on Wednesday said that it attached immovable properties at Delhi, Jammu and Harayan worth 5.91 crores.

Taking on to micro-blogging platform X, The ED wrote, "ED, Srinagar has provisionally attached immovable property situated at Delhi having worth of Rs. 2.25 Crore and related to the shareholders/owners of M/s Manoj Ji & Co. Pvt. Ltd. under the provisions of PMLA, 2002.

ED, Srinagar has provisionally attached immovable properties situated at Jammu, Delhi and Sonipat (Haryana) worth Rs. 3.66 Crore, in the Bogus Cryptocurrency Scam namely β€œEmollient Coin” which was operating under the company named M/s The Emollient Coin Limited, UK. *Six children fall ill in Badhaal village of Rajouri, girl dies in Jammu hospital*

Jammu, Jan 12: At least six children fell ill under mysterious circumstances in Badhaal village of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

However, three of them were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu where one girl died.

Official sources here on Sunday said that six children of a family fell ill in Baddal village and shifted to the Government Medical College Rajouri.

"Out of six, three were referred to the GMC Jammu where one girl died and two are under treatment," they said.

Confirming the death, Jammu GMC authorities said that the cause of yet is being ascertained while two other children are under observation.

Notably, on December 8, four members of a family including three children had died of suspected food poisoning in Badhaal village of Rajouri district.

Meanwhile days after teams of experts collected samples from a, where a mystery illness has spread panic, another person died taking the total number of deaths attributed to the illness to nine.

As per official spokesman DIG Rajouri-Poonch, Tejinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Sikarwar, visited Badhaal to assess the prevailing ground situation and ensure immediate support to the community.

As part of the relief measures, the DC Rajouri deployed ambulances, health teams and ASHA workers to provide essential medical assistance to the residents.

Furthermore, other departments have been activated to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation with the general public.

Samples have been collected from ill patients and investigations have been initiated to determine the cause of the ailments.

The administration is closely monitoring the situation and will take necessary action based on the outcome of the investigations, he said.

The general public is advised not to panic and to follow any advisories issued by the authorities.

It is pertinent to mention that, apart from health teams, the police has also started a fresh investigation in this matter.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the locals to understand their immediate concerns and emphasized the importance of timely intervention and joint departmental efforts to address their needs.

SSP Gaurav Sikarwar assured the residents of enhanced security measures and prompt action on any emergent issues, he added.

The district administration remains committed to ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of the residents of Badhaal. All necessary steps are being taken to address their concerns and provide comprehensive support.–(UNI)

*CRIME BRANCH SUBMITTED CHALLANS AGAINST 17 ACCUSED INCLUDING THREE BANK OFFICERS*

Jammu , Jan 5 : Crime Branch ( CB ) has submitted challans against seventeen accused including three Bank officers for criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of huge money , frauds and forgery .

CB completed investigation and proved offence of criminal breach of trust & misappropriation of big amount against main accused the then Branch Manager Citizens' Co-operative Bank Vijaypur Rajiv Bali of Jammu & two more Managers of the same Bank and resubmitted challan against them as per Hon'ble court directions. Among other accused against whom investigations were completed in different cases and challans filed included two property dealers of Jammu namely Mohd Ramzan & Mohd Sadiq , former ASI of IRP , former government school Teacher , Punjab Armed Police official Sukhwinder Singh of Raja Sansi Amritsar.

Seven separate challans against seventeen accused have been produced in Ld. courts of law in Jammu , Poonch and Kathua.

The accused belong to Punjab, Haryana, U.P , Jammu, Rajouri,Poonch and Samba, .

Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu Benam Tosh said that challans of cases FIR No. 25/2015 , FIR No.12/ 2019 ,FIR No. 43/ 2020 , FIR No 31/2021 , FIR No.24/2023, FIR No. 28/2023, and 92 / 2023 have been produced in the courts of law for judicial determination.
