ANIME NEWS: Weekly Shounen Jump's 26th edition announced on Monday that a anime adaptation of Shuuhei Miyazaki's Boku to Roboko (Me and Roboco) is currently in the making.
In July 2020, Miyazaki began serializing the comedy sci-fi manga in Weekly Shounen Jump. Shueisa released the 7th Volume on March 9 and the 8th Volume will released on June 3.
The Manga was published in English alongside the Japanese publication on VIZ media's Shounen Jump Platform and Shueisa's manga plus.
Synopsis
Every household has a robotic OrderMaid, and a 10 year old boy Bondo Taira has discovered that his 2 closest buddies, Motsuo and Gatchi Gorilla, have their own. Motsuo in instance, is the proud owner of Meico, a stunning robot that does wonderful massages and cheerfully offer refreshments. Bondo persuades his mother to purchase him an OrderMaid in the hopes of having similar experience to his friends.
To Bondo's surprise, the maid that emerges outside his door is extremely muscular and clumsy, capable of destroying a house while perfoming ordinary tasks. This new robot, known as Roboko, is the polar opposit of what Bondo wants. Despite this, Bondo and his companions discover that there is more to Roboko than they would have imagined.
