*CHILUNDIKA WALKS THE TALK AS FACE LIFTING OF ROAD NETWORK IN KAPISHA, LUANO AND BUPALO WARDS STARTS*

14 September, 2021

The luapula Province Minister and Nchanga member of parliament Hon Derricky Chilundika has started fixing it on behalf of the great fixer H.E. Mr. Hakainde Hichilema aka Bally.

This follows the commencement of grading of roads in Kapisha ward by Chingola municipal council that will extend to Luano and bupalo wards as per Honourable Chilundika's campaign promises.

Soon after being sworn in, the minister in the company of Chingola town clerk Mr. Mutakela and his engineering department team, went round the said wards inspecting the state of he road network where some roads like Kapisha road were identified as priority number one on the list.

The findings on the ground prompted the minister to instruct the local authority to begin the works in a week's time so that the identified roads can be graded before the onset of the rains.

During campaigns before 12 August elections, Chilundika promised the people of Nchanga Constituency that once the UPND under the able leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema forms government, road works in the Constituency will be given first priority. A promise he has started to fulfil.

Appearing on radio iwave on Saturday and rise FM radio on Sunday, the minister reaffirmed the UPND government's commitment to uplifting the living standards of the people of nchanga and Zambians at large. "We may not do everything at once, but our people must know that H.E. Mr. Hakainde Hichilema and all his ministers are hard working", Chilundika assured the people of chingola district.

For Immediate Release.

NDC to Back UPND in Mwansabombwe and Lukashya Polls!

Lusaka. 26.08.2020.

The opposition National Democratic Congress NDC will back the Upnd in the forthcoming Lukasha and Mwansabombwe constituency parliamentary polls.

The polls are scheduled for next month.

NDC Vice President Joseph Akafumba has announced the development at a media briefing in lusaka today.

Mr. Akafumba says the decision to field a single candidate has been done with the sole purpose of harnessing and promoting the principles of the opposition alliance.

He adds that the NDC will thus, go flat out and campaign for the Upnd in both mwansabombwe and Lukashya.

The NDC vice president says all members in Mwansabombwe and Lukashya should tomorrow flock in numbers and give support to the Upnd as they file their nomination bids.

Mr. Akafumba has further called upon all well meaning opposition parties to join the opposition alliance.

He observes that the pf can only be removed from political office by a United opposition front.

And Mr. Akafumba says there is need to break the barrier that the Upnd can not field candidates in perceived territories viewed and believed to be pf strongholds.

He says the Upnd is a National party contrary to views being peddled by desepate groupings that the Upnd is a regional party.

The NDC vice president is optimistic that the opposition alliance will remain firm and resolved as it strives to form the next Government.

IN-COMING PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA FINALLY DECLARES HUNGER AN EMERGENCY NATIONAL DISASTER IN ZAMBIA

By Rick Nchito

UPND and Incoming Republican President Hakainde Hichilema has finally declared the hunger situation in Zambia a national disaster.

Speaking at a Press Conference this morning in the capital Lusaka, Mr Hichilema said the hunger situation in the country can no longer be trivialised.

"It's painful to see how people are suffering in the nation. But to our surprise everything is blamed on climate change," said Hichilema.

"Load shedding, climate change; weak kwacha, climate change; huge debt, climate change; high mealie meal prices, climate change. It is not climate change but lack of vision and leadership."

And the UPND leader who gave a number of solutions to the current challenges the nation is faced with declared the hunger situation in the nation a national disaster.

"Having seen how people are suffering as a result of hunger, I now declare the hunger situation in the country an emergency national disaster," declared Hichilema.

"We will donate what we can afford and no one will stop us; and government will join us if they love the people of Zambia."

PF IN CHINGOLA DISTRICT ACCUSES KCM TOP MANAGEMENT TO BE UPND.

The patriotic front (PF) party in Chingola has accused most KCM top management to be UPND as pandemonium continues in their WhatsApp group called *_"True citizens 2"_* where they have continued accusing and insulting each other after their audios went viral.

The PF through its District chairman Mr. Musonda in a panic mode has threatened to expose all KCM top officials suspected to be UPND members. In a short message posted on the interparty group called *MP 2021 Chingola West* Mr. Musonda said he knows all the officials who are now misleading miners and he will soon start exposing them so that government can sternly deal with them.

Below is the message written by Mr. Musonda the pf District chairman..

_*"And am aware that most of the top management of kcm are upnd members now they want to mislead the mines I no your names and your position just wait you will see I will expose you very soon coz you think you are clever you have so many meetings I have all information ones I finish government will do something about you"*_

This is typical of PF, they always find someone to blame for their failures. Surely who is misleading who? If we may ask!

As UPND Chingola Media we have many questions than answers to Mr. Musonda.

1. Why is it that every time pf fails to deliver according to their promises they accuse UPND of being behind their failure?

2. If indeed these KCM top management are UPND which we believe not, are they the ones who said the new investor will be found in three months or it's the PF through their minister of mines?

3. Is Mr. Musonda telling us that it's these suspected top management who put KCM under liquidation or it's the PF government?

4. Who is running KCM? is it not the PF liquidator?

If Mr. Musonda and the pf in Chingola knows the correct answers to the above questions, there was no way he was going to accuse innocent KCM top officials of being UPND.

Pf should just admit that they have mismanaged their so called liquidation process and it's time to come out in the open and tell miners the truth about the current situation in KCM.

Hakainde Hichilema Writes

We took sometime this afternoon assisting the vulnerable groups in Lusaka's Bauleni compound where we donated bags of mealie meal.

The aged; the differently abled, the widows, the orphans and other such groups are so dear to us and they need a helping hand especially under the current difficult economic situation.

The price of our staple food, mealie meal is way beyond the reach of our citizens. And this is what we warned last year in September when we warned our colleagues in the PF regime and offered solutions to mitigate the effects of poor rainfall in some parts of the country.

We told them not to export the maize and other crops based they went ahead claiming the nation had excess produce. We advised them to lower the cost of fertilizer and other inputs so as to ensure increased production, but to date the price of inputs is way beyond the reach of our citizens.

We were equally humbled to receive more than 200 strong PF members who have joined our party this afternoon in Bauleni.

We thank all those who made it for the event organised at short notice.

*HANDS OFF FIC, HH TELLS LUNGU.*

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema writes below...

We have noted with not much amusement the firing of the Financial Intelligence Center Board by the PF because this was expected especially that this institution like many other citizens tried to prevent the PF and Mr Edgar Lungu's corruption.

We sincerely hope that Mr Edgar Lungu will not extend his hands to the FIC Chief Executive Officer, Mary Chirwa Tshuma.

FIC has so far proved to be one of the key institutions in combating Mr Lungu's insatiable appetite for corruption and plunder of public resources.

Hands off FIC, Mr Lungu. We stand with the institution.

Hakainde Hichilema
UPND President.

Hakainde Hichilema Writes

We understand there was heavy police presence in the streets of Chawama constituency today. All this we are informed was in effort to stop us from doing some charity work and blocking us from a planned tour of Chawama.

The heavy presence of police officers in Chawama today should be a daily routine to protect our citizens, as opposed to blocking one individual whose right of movement is guaranteed by the constitution.

We fully sympathise with police officers for being abused in such a manner. When citizens notify the police to conduct a peaceful protest, hold a rally or any public event, the usual response is that there is not enough manpower. But here we are with heavy police presence in the streets of Chawama mobilised at short notice for only one individual.

As UPND when we take over the reigns of power in 2021 from day one, we shall undertake to restore the rule of law and ensure all citizens regardless of political affiliation, enjoy all fundamental freedoms and basic rights as enshrined in our constitution.

To the police, please remain there and other places to protect property and life in Chawama.

We have always stated that the patriotic front government is a failed project. How can a serious government fail to party examination making allowances for teachers? Below is HH has urges government to pay teachers.

HH writes:

PF MUST PAY TEACHERS THAT MARKED 2018 GRADE 9 AND 12 EXAMS.

We continue receiving reports of PF maladministration and incompetence in most government departments but nothing is more disturbing and scandalous than the information that our teachers who marked the 2018 Grade 9 and 12 final examinations have not been paid their dues, almost a year after they diligently carried out their duties.

We are further saddened to learn that the 2019 July GCE exams remain unmarked because the PF have no money to feed teachers who are supposed to mark these papers.

Any serious Government will treat the Education sector as a priority and critical area along side Agriculture and Health, but because of corruption, incompetence, lack of proper planning and misplaced preferences, the PF hanker for globe trotting with large delegations in luxury jets, as more important than paying teachers, buying medical drugs for our people in hospitals and boosting agriculture inorder to bring down prices of food especially mealie meal.

Civil servants in government ministries are working under very difficult circumstances because resources meant to help them run their departments smoothly are being diverted to reward PF politicians with huge traveling allowances for expensive and unnecessary foreign trips, and causing by elections.

We urge the PF to be humane for once and stop playing games with our teachers who marked the 2018 Grade 9 and 12 examination papers by paying them their dues immediately. They will need them to mark the 2019 exams soon.
