How do you maintain youthful skin - forever?

We don’t know how to stop the clock, but we can help you fool the cameras and mirrors into thinking you’re a younger you. Here’s some essential tips to get the skin care routine you need.

Wash with a gentle cleanser
Cleansing is important for removing any skin care product or makeup that you’ve applied during the day, as well as natural skin oils, pollutants, and bacteria that’s accumulated. It also means your skin care products will be able to enter your skin and work more effectively!

Use a physical or chemical exfoliant
As you age, your skin slows down replenishing itself. Dead skin cells aren’t replaced by fresh cells as quickly, which means your skin starts to look dull and uneven, and may even crack. Exfoliants are a great way to help get dead cells off your skin.

Pat, don’t rub, on your anti-aging serums
In general, serums contain a higher concentration of active ingredients than a moisturizer. The best anti-aging ingredients to look out for are vitamin A derivatives known as retinoids (retinol, tretinoin, and tazarotene) and vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate). As well as increasing collagen in your skin, they also act as antioxidants to soak up the biological and environmental oxidative stress that builds up to cause aging.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize
With age also comes less sebum. While this means less chance of acne, it also means your skin will dry out more easily. One of the big reasons for fine lines is inadequate skin hydration, but luckily it’s easy to fix with a good moisturizer!

Here's why it's so important to take good care of your back, especially as you get older.

Maintain Mobility 👏
Like all joints if you fail to take the joints in your back through their full range of motion on a regular basis you will eventually lose that range of motion. Like the saying "if you don't use it, you lose it."

Maintain Joint Health 🙌
The cartilage in the joints of your spine do not have a blood supply. They instead derive nutrients like a sponge through diffusion. It is the movement and compression of the cartilaginous surfaces that maintains their optimum health. back stretches will take your joints through their full range of movement.

Sustain a Good Posture 👍
If you cannot move your joints into a position of good posture you simply cannot maintain a good posture. When we are children we have good movement between each segment of the spine, so when we twist our back or turn our head we do so by moving many joints. As we get older and some joints lose mobility, others have to compensate by becoming hypermobile or too mobile. This can lead to premature joint degeneration. If we can maintain mobility in all segments by doing back stretches we can minimize stress on those that would need to compensate for that loss.

Here are our three biggest beginner skincare tips to help take control of your skin.

Step 1: Cleanse
Cleansing your skin in the evening should never be compromised or skipped. At the end of the day, it’s important to cleanse to remove not only skin-care products and makeup that you applied in the morning, but also excess oil, sweat, dead skin cells, pollutants, and other debris that collect on the skin throughout the day.

Step 2: Moisturize
Next, use a moisturizer, or a moisturizing product. We typically recommend an oil-free, fragrance-free moisturizer as this will be well tolerated by skin types, from acne-prone to sensitive.

Step 3: Protect
Often a point ignored and forgotten. Protect your skin every day with sunscreen. Harmful UV rays can age and kill skin cells rapidly. Opt for a sunscreen that is SPF 30 or higher, and apply it daily (even when it's cloudy), always as the final step in your skin-care routine.
