ඊයේ ප්ලේන් එකක් කඩන් වැටෙනවා, පයිලට්ලව පන්නනවා, එක එක ජාතියේ පයිලට්ලා ඇතුලෙන් මතුවෙනවා කිය කිය පෝස්ට් එක ශෙයාර් කරපු අයියලා (සහ අක්කිලා☺️) දන්නේ නැති ලොකුම දේ තමයි පයිලට් කියන්නේ ලංකාවේ දේශපාලනේ වගේ හතු පිපෙනවා වගේ කරන්න බැරි රස්සාවක් කියන එක. සරලවම කිව්වොත් දේශපාලනේට ලයිසන් ඕනේ නැති උනාට, ප්ලේන් එලවන්න ඉගෙන ගන්නනත් ලයිසන් ඕනේ. (ඊට වඩා එහාට ගියපු ලොකු සංකීර්න ආරක්ශක සහ සෞඛ්‍ය නිශ්කාශනයන් තියෙනවා - ලියන් වෙලා මදී 😉) අනෙක් කාරනය නම් සාමාන්‍ය මගීන් තම රිසිසේ cockpit එකට ඇතුල් උනේ කෙසේදැයි මා හට විශාල ගැටලුවක් වේ. (දැනට සේවයේ යෙදෙන බොහෝමයක් වානිජ්‍යය ගුවන්යානා වල cockpit එකට එසේ ඇතුල්විය නොහැක - අවශ්‍යය උනොත් පස්සේ මේගැන කතා කරමු 😀) එහෙව් වෘර්තියක් ගැන හරිහැටි නොදැන ඒ පෝසට් එක ශෙයාර් කරපු ලක්වැසියන් ගැන ඇත්තේ අනුකම්පාවකි 🥲. එමෙන්ම ඒ පෝස්ට් එක ශෙයාර් කරපු ගුවන් සේවා ක්ශේත්‍යයේ දැනට සේවයේ නියකු අය ගැන සහ එම ආයතන ගැන ඇත්තේ සොරි.com feeling එකකි. (ටිපර් නොවන්න - ඊයේ පොස්ට් එකවගේ මේ පෝසට් එකදිහා විවෘත මනසින් හෝ විහිලුවෙන් බලා අමතක කරන්න 😁) ගොඩාක් අයට අමතක වු දේ නම් pilot error එකකින් ගුවන් යානය කඩා වැටෙන්න ගියත් කිසිදි වානිජ්‍යය ගුවන් නියමුවෙකු අවසාන මොහොතතෙක් තම සටන අතහරින්නේ නැති බවයි. ඔවුන් parachute හෝ වෙනත් උපක්‍රම වලින් ප්ලේන් එකෙන් එලියට පැනලා යන්නේ නැ, අවසානයතෙක් ඉන්නේ අනිත් මගීන් සහ කාර්ය මන්ඩලය එක්ක. (හරියට අපේ දේශපාලුවෝ වගේ 😂)

අර කැප්ටන් සීට් එක ගැන කියලා තිබ්බ නිසා මේ ටිකත් කියන්න හිතුනා. කැප්ටන් කියන්නේ සරලවම කිව්වොත් ලෝඩ් වගේ පොරක්. එයාට අවශ්‍යයනම් ඕන මගියෙක්ව (හේතුවක් ඇතිව) එලියට දාන්න පුලුවම්. ඔව්… ඕනෙනම් දේශපාලන පොරක්ව එලියට දාන්න පුලුවම්. අපි දන්න තරමින් ලංකා ඉතිහාසයේ පවා එහෙම දේවල් වෙලා තියෙනවා.

ඉතින් මිතුරනි ඉස්සරහට දේවල් ශෙයාර් කරද්දි පොඩ්ඩක් හිතලා බලල කෙසේ වෙතත් හොයලා බලලා ශෙයාර් කරන්න. සුභ දවසක් - ධර්මය අපට මග වෙවා 🤓

PS - සමහර passengers ලා ගුවන්තොටු පොලෙන්ම හරවා යවනවා. ඒ ගුවන්තොටු පොල සේවයේ නියතු විවිධ අංශවලින්. අද උදෙත් එහෙම දෙයක් වෙලා කියලා ආරංචියක් තියෙනවා. 😉

Suicidal Japanese Captain deemed to be insane engaged the inboard engines' thrust-reversers in flight

The airplane crashed 9 February 1982 on approach to Haneda Airport in Tokyo Bay, resulting in 24 fatalities. Flight 350 was the first crash for Japan Air Lines in the 1980s. The investigation traced the cause of the crash to the deliberate actions of the captain.

Japan Air Lines Flight 350 operating a Douglas DC-8-61, on a domestic scheduled passenger flight from Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, to Tokyo in Japan.

Another report states that, during descent, Katagiri "cancelled autopilot, pushed his controls forward and re****ed the throttles to idle." Ishikawa and Ozaki worked to restrain Katagiri and regain control.

Despite their efforts, the DC-8's descent could not be completely checked and it touched down in shallow water 510 meters (1673 feet) short of the runway. During the crash, the cockpit section of the DC-8 separated from the rest of the fuselage and continued to travel for several meters before coming to a halt

Among the 166 passengers and 8 crew, 24 died. Following the accident, Katagiri, one of the first people to take a rescue boat, told rescuers that he was an office worker to avoid being identified as the captain.

Katagiri was later found to be suffering from paranoid schizophrenia prior to the incident, which resulted in his being ruled not guilty by reason of insanity.

Katagiri was released from psychiatric care and lives near Mount Fuji

This is how the B757F of the cargo airline that crashed today in San Jose, Costa Rica.

(HP-2010DAE) DHL bound for Guatemala, flight , returned to San Jose, Costa Rica after the pilots reported a hydraulic problem. The 757F veered off runway 07 after landing. Local sources say the crew is OK.

Emirates refuses to give up its Russian profits. Billionaire Russians can fly in/out of Russia on Emirates no questions asked.

ARTICLE "Emirates President Tim Clark said the Russian people have every right to continue travelling regardless of sanctions on the economy, defending the Gulf carrier’s maintenance of regular services despite the invasion of Ukraine.

Emirates will carry on operating to Russia for as long as it is told to do so by its owner, the government of Dubai, Clark told Bloomberg Television in an interview on Tuesday. The airline currently serves Moscow twice daily and St Petersburg once a day, linking the cities with its vast global network via a stop in the Gulf state.

“These sanctions are not aimed at the Russian people,” Clark said. “The Russian people are just as affected by what’s been going on in Ukraine as everyone else, I suspect.”

Passenger loads on the flights are “fairly healthy,” the executive said, including customers traveling for humanitarian reasons, staff from non-profits, diplomats and some tourists. Cargo space is in very high demand, he said.

With Russian airlines and many foreign carriers subject to reciprocal airspace bans and other curbs that have greatly curtailed flights, Emirates provides one of the few remaining major arteries linking the country with the rest of the world. Clarke said his airline is also free to overfly Russia and does so on routes to the United States west coast.

Emirates is currently profitable and cash positive and is “managing quite well” with the surge in jet-fuel expenses, primarily by increasing fares, Clark said.

“We were facing higher oil prices prior to the conflict, and we are dealing with those,” he said. “Unfortunately, that means that prices have to rise to cover the fuel-cost increases.”

Clark said that demand is continuing to recover from the coronavirus pandemic. China’s continuing curbs on foreign travel remain and issue, he said, but markets including Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia are all improving.

Concordeski! The Russians planned to build a oong range bomber based off it but ended up sticking to the Tu-160 in the long run. The Tu-144 ended up being bugged with noise and vibration issues for its passengers and reliability issues for its operators. It famously had canards that only deployed only during landing phase to provide additional lift and control.

The Antonov plant took the initiative to restore the legendary Ukrainian aircraft An-225 said Sergey Bychkov, Director General of Antonov.

"We propose to establish the International Fund for the revival of the An-225 Mriya transport aircraft".

Second airframe was under construction with most of the fuselage completed, it could be a potential base for rebuilding the plane.

On March 24th, ANTONOV Company's official page posted a message (along with the scanned pages of the original open letter) addressed to the “International Aviation Community and all the careful people of the civilized world” asking help to rebuild the .

The letter goes on providing an IBAN and a series of bank details that can be used to fund the restoration works.

The only An-225 Mriya was destroyed during the early stages of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Antonov now wants to restore it but needs funds. As

🔴 Yesterday's Qatar flight QR579 from Delhi to Doha has made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan. The flight was diverted to Pakistan after smoke was detected in the cargo bay of the plane. Qatar Airways was operating an Airbus A350-900 A7-ALZ on the route.

According to data on flight tracking website Flighaware, QR579 flew from Delhi at its scheduled departure time of 3.50 AM and landed in Karachi at 5.45 AM, 1.15 hours after the departure. The flight was supposed to land at Doha International Airport at 7.15 AM.
