1. Do you prefer the Scandinavian winter or summer?

Although winter provides some potentially nice scenery, we prefer summer. The summer in Norway has those long evenings where the sun doesn’t go down before after 22.00. Those nights can be very enjoyable when spent outside in a garden with friends, on a boat or at the mountainside!

2. How many hours are you guys in the studio per week?

Without exaggerating I think we can easily say we work 25 hours each. We live a two hours’ drive apart so we rarely meet up and usually don’t work on the same project at the same time, so that way we can get the double effect out of those hours.

3. Did you ever see a wild moose?

Ha-ha, yes and we must be careful not to hit them with our cars while driving. It’s very common, especially in winter the to see Moose or Deer running on a field alongside a road. The statistics for people having accidents with those animals are quite high so we prefer not to see them too often.

4. When did you start together as a team?

We met in 1999 while at a private party where Finn was bringing some DJ gear to play some music along with another friend and it didn’t take long before Lars’s curiosity was piqued, and he was found behind the decks to play too ha-ha. From there we kept in touch and slowly started our musical journey together to where we are today.

5. What can we expect from you in the future?

Well, apart from a couple of future releases on Elpida, and some collaborations, we have quite a few tracks in the works with vocalists like Amin Salmee, Eden Michelle (EGGSTA), Sinéad McCarthy, Moss and three tracks with a Norwegian singer named Mathilde SPZ. We would also like to explore more in the realm of Melodic Techno combined with our own style.
On the remix side we have one that releases mid-December 2024 on Universal Records Norway that we are quite excited about that is from a Norwegian singer named Ella Marie with an emotional song called ‘Mannat’ and we are doing a couple of remixes for Addictive Sounds that is planned for spring and maybe late spring next year -- It doesn’t seem that we will run out of work anytime soon.

A big milestone for Elpida Music! Our 100th release! We are happy the guys from Northern Project are back to celebrate this moment with us. After their previous release Thought It Was My Time they return with Not Going Back. It’s already been selected for the massive In Search Of Sunrise 20 compilation. Expect amazing vocals, mesmerizing melodies and big beats!

Enlight returns to Elpida Music with their brand new EP Fire Within and Azure. After their successful debut last year, which was supported by Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Paul Oakenfold, they now return with 2 different styles. Where Azure is more on the house side with funky beats and catchy piano riffs, and Fire Within takes you on a warm melodic progressive trip. Something for everyone here!
