“Down the Rabbit Hole”

If they’re willing to spend this much money, how much do they get in return?

—————————————————————————————

During the 2024 U.S. election cycle, political advertising expenditures reached unprecedented levels, with total spending on campaign ads amounting to approximately $10.5 billion, marking a $1 billion increase from the 2020 election cycle.

Television remained the dominant medium for political advertising, capturing the largest share of expenditures. However, digital platforms also saw significant investment, with advertisers spending over $619 million on Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) between January 2023 and August 2024.

Notably, Pennsylvania emerged as a focal point for political ad spending, with expenditures surpassing $1 billion in the state alone. This substantial investment underscores Pennsylvania’s critical role as a battleground state in the 2024 elections.

The primary contributors to these advertising expenditures were political action committees (PACs), individual donors, and corporate entities. The finance, insurance, and real estate sectors were particularly prominent, contributing over $2 billion to various political campaigns and committees.

Teach people who say “you violating my freedom of speech” in Facebook groups the true meaning of the First Amendment.

Dearest Democrats,

I would take it easy with the “everybody who voted for trump is a racist, sexist, homophobic… etc. bigot” speech.

This is nothing more than a perfect example of a giant flaw within the two party system. Both sides refuse to allow victory from a middle ground candidate so we are forced to choose between a d-bag and a turd sandwich.

But that giant flaw gives us decision making power. We will be the ones coming to your rescue in the future if your individual liberties get trampled on over the course of the next four years and the conservatives takes it too far. (I’m looking at you abortion people [I don’t think I’m allowed to say ladies] saying we don’t give a s**t about your bodies).

So stop insulting everyone and start fixing your party. Convince us why we should take your side next time.

Love,
Everyone Somehwhere In The Middle

This is wild-

45 percent of the FDA budget is funded by big Pharma companies.

What the hell?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) receives a significant portion of its funding from user fees paid by pharmaceutical companies. These fees are primarily collected under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA), which was first enacted in 1992. As of recent years, approximately 45% of the FDA’s budget comes from these user fees.

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, the FDA’s total budget was $7.2 billion. Of this amount, $3.5 billion was derived from user fees paid by industries regulated by the FDA, including pharmaceutical companies.

These user fees are intended to expedite the drug approval process by providing the FDA with additional resources. However, the reliance on industry funding has raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest and the agency’s ability to remain impartial in its regulatory decisions.

Honest question:

If Trump is a racist how is this possible?

• Latino Men: Support among Latino men rose to 54%, a significant jump from 36% in 2020.

Black Voters:
• Overall Support: Trump’s support among Black voters nearly doubled, reaching 15% in 2024 compared to 8% in 2020.
• Black Men: In key swing states, support from Black men increased to 25%.

New Rule:

If you publicly claimed that a candidate would make terrible decisions and do awful things if they got elected—whether at the national, state, or local level—and none of those accusations come true:

You lose your right to post anything political for the next 4 years.

No exceptions.

This applies to individuals, politicians, and entire political parties.

I hope everyone is payed attention and remembers the absolute insanity that people and parties spewed to try and get their candidate elected.
