Too Good To Go!

App downloaded I choose a green grocers, or as we now know a fruit and veg shop, whatever!

I'm excited to begin my short journey around the corner to Strongs of Lytham.

Just pause there, a young boy from AKS walks towards me with a tennis ball and drops it and it rolls under a parked car and he runs out into the middle of the road, (road safety AKS,) then because he can't get it or doesn't know it's a slanted road the tennis ball rolls back out; by then he's just escaped a fatality and is walking away, I shout to him;

'It's there!' He comes back and grabs the thing that nearly killed him.

Off I continue to my destination and a woman in her late 70s is walking in my direction not willing to move until the very last minute in a Mexican stand off I move to the right.

I'm not at Strongs yet, but can't wait to get there and receive my purchase.

The man, well the woman asks me why I'm standing there I tell her I'm here for my Too Good to Go bag.

''You have to open the app!" Says the man."

Well if you could get any mobile data in Lytham first time that'd be good.

So I wandered out the phone in the air looking for some signal to open the app so he could or I could accept the bag.

It doesn't work so I go back in. The man has gone to the back of the shop and this young lad about 18 says;

"Are you ok love?"

Now generally I would let this slip but the excitement has worn off its hot and I've got a toothache which is going to cost me nearly 90 pounds just so I can get it taken out which will be another couple of hundred pounds , I digres.

Don't call me love you're about ten I said; sorry he said and the man came out and gave me my bags.

Loads of veg plenty of potatoes when I said to the woman at the counter what I will do with all these potatoes she said potato soup?

Now obviously you don't know me but I'm not your potato soup kind but I might be because I've got s**t loads and carried on she did mention that she calls people chicken!

Apparently the staff are encouraged to use the term love.It's disappointing if you don't know a person's name just use please, thank you and bye.

Easter Family Fun Day at Lytham Hall! 🐰

The Easter Bunny has been hiding her eggs deep in the woods so come and help her find them.🐇
There are lots of creatures hiding in the wood but look out for the fox.

If you find some eggs the Bunny will give you a chocolate surprise.

Come and enjoy the Bouncy Castle, Cake decorating, Easter crafts, Kids Tombola, Bookstall and visit the real live giant Bunnies with the pigs and goats in the animal hub.

The café is full of treats and the plants and antique centres are open.

Her team beat Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria and narrowly lost to Cheshire and gave Grt. Manchester a good run for their money.

Following the news that Lionel Richie has cancelled his 2022 European Tour, we would like to assure customers that the Lytham Festival team has already been working hard to find a replacement.

In light of this we can now announce Nile Rodgers & CHIC will be headlining Lytham Festival on Saturday July 2nd with support from Grammy Award winners Soul II Soul and US girl group TLC while Craig Charles will kick off the party with his Funk & Soul DJ set.

Original tickets remain valid and ticket holders will receive an email from Ticketmaster later this week.

⭐ Lytham Windmill Repairs Update ⭐

The Douglas Fir timber arrived just after new year, and the millwright is assembling the templates to replace the damaged sails.

After they're made, the wood needs to be treated and left to settle before they can be attached. We'll post further updates as they come!
