Well, we are just days away from heading out on another grand adventure! 🧭🌎
This time Glacier National Park is our main attraction...as well as some National Parks that we haven't seen yet in Utah, and lots of friends and family! We are even a little excited to see what's changed back in our hometown.

Letting the dogs run and roam off leash. 🐕 🐶
Ooh all the extra comforts of being back at our own place.

Yep, that's right. We made a sudden decision to head back to our property much earlier than we usually do. We are getting pretty good at these random changes of plans. We've been back here for about a week...and it has taken us that long to Unpack and get settled back in...but it sure does feel good to have somewhere to tuck into when the road begins to get tiring.

We sure do love being on the road out there exploring, but we've grown to love being here as well.

Beautiful views, interesting things, fun hikes, potluck dinners, campfire sittings, lots of time with dear friends, and even putting in some help building other rigs were had at our camp near Van Aid. The area out near American Girl Mine sure is interesting. It's been fun... but it was time to move on again.

We drove down the wash a few miles and looked back at the Palooza site....damn it looks like a mini city out there! (The pic doesn't do it justice, but if you zoom in, you can see all the awesome nomad people out there.)

Im just chilling in the front seat with my buddy, waiting for the windows to thaw, and watching the sunrise. I really do cherish that quiet calmness at dawn.

Suprise! We are heading back west! It was going to be a secret, but I'm not good at that. Lol.

Yeah, yeah I know I talked all about how excited we were to be heading east for the winter and all of that....but after much debate, and discussion, we have made a family wide decision to head back to Arizona. Theres several reasons for our change, but we miss seeing all our friends in Quartzsite, and the boys just love the community and fun they have a Skooliepalooza. And after all, desert life is so much more accommodating for us..and so much cheaper. Maybe we are just a bunch of desert rats after all?! 🤪

We're on our way, and we can't wait to see our friends. 🧡

Along our travels I always look for unique roadside stops.

The Carabelle Bottlehouse was a cute art attraction we stopped at, complete with a light up bottle lighthouse and goldfish pond.

We also stopped to see the "smallest police station"...neat story.

Well...we rung in the new year with some much needed rest and relaxation. We had all been struggling with fighting a head cold and needed a good rest. So the KOA cabin we had booked for NYE came in super handy. We mostly stayed in our comfy clothing, ate soup, watched movies...and enjoyed resting among each other's company. We also had fun making "gingerbread" houses.

I hope everyone had a wonderful, and safe, NYE!
Don't forget to slow down and give in to the rest that our bodies naturally need in this cold winter time. ❄️🍮☕️
