Talk of the Town Season 4, Premiere
Ano Na? Ano Pa?
It’s time to look back at the first three months of 2023, and look ahead and see what’s in store for the Filipino American community in the Second Quarter.
For its inaugural episode for Season 4, Talk of the Town will review the major events that made an impact on the community, and preview the must-see, must-attend happenings that are coming our way.
Talk of the Town will walk you back to the events of January to March: the recent hate crime attacks against Filipinos, the coming of the new Consul General, the launching of Loida Lewis; book, the passing of chef King Phojanakong, etc.
We will also take a sneak peek into what’s coming in the next three months: such as the Philippine Independence Day Parade, the Philippines Fest events in Manhattan, the Filipino American Festival at Harvard Square, etc.
Your favorite knowledge-sharing show will also give you a roundup of recent and upcoming immigration developments and a retrospection of January-to-June Philippine and Filipino American historical events.

Usapang Fil Am | Fil Am Nurses: A Year Into the Pandemic
The plight of the Filipino American nurse a year into the pandemic is the focus of the pilot webisode of Usapang Fil Am on May 20, Thursday, 8pm ET. Usapang Fil Am is the new interview format talk show of PinoyLife Media.
Reports have confirmed that no ethnic group of health care workers has suffered more casualties than Filipino Americans. More than a quarter of nurses who have died of COVID-19 and related complications in the U.S. are Filipino American even as they make up just 4 percent of nurses in the country.
As they continue to tirelessly care for the weak and the sick in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask the hard questions: How are our nurses? Who are taking care of them?
Join Noel Pangilinan and Cris Godinez in a candid conversation with Zenei Cortez, president of the largest union of registered nurses in America, and Fatima Cabillon a registered nurse whose mother worked as the Head ER Nurse at a Brooklyn hospital and became one of the early casualties of the Covid-19 pandemic.
