The Kashmiri government has created a "Craft Safari," a tour that shepherds visitors around Srinigar city to take in the beautiful artistic works from the region's artisans. Srinigar city hosts nearly 40,000 registered artisans specializing in everything from hand embroidery to copper wares and carpet weaving, and their presence in the city dates back to the 14th century.
