Police took Ervin into custody on requested charges of aggravated battery, first degree murder in the commission of a felony and criminal possession of a firearm,.

Ervin was suspected of robbing a hotel when he took off in his Dodge pickup, cops said. No one else was killed in the crash.

The man accused of killing a couple, their 6-year-old daughter and injuring their 10-year-old daughter is now facing a charge of aggravated robbery on top of three capital murder charges.

Police said Xavier Davis, 28, shot and killed Gregory Carhee, Donyavia Lagway and the couple’s 6-year-old daughter Harmony. He also shot the couple’s 10-year-old daughter in the arm. Relatives said the 10-year-old girl survived the incident by faking her death. She then FaceTimed her grandmother from inside the home.

“'Granny, my mom got shot. My dad got shot,'” Manda Lagway, the grandmother of a critically injured 10-year-old girl, recalled her granddaughter telling her in a video call after gunshots erupted at a home in southwest Houston.

The 10-year-old was later rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Invesrigators say Davis first knocked on the family’s door before being let in by Gregory Carhee, the 10-year-old girl told authorities. Davis allegedly opened fire in the course of robbing Carhee.

Houston police say Davis stole a Jeep Compass an hour before the killings. The vehicle was stolen at gunpoint. Detectives said the stolen Jeep was found an hour after the triple murder engulfed in flames in Pearland.

Davis already faced three capital murder charges and one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He now faces an additional charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Davis was arrested on July 1 on a separate domestic violence charge when detectives linked him to the triple murder case.

Davis was in court Tuesday and charged with three counts of capital murder. The court is working to consolidate the cases.

Davis is now being held without bond at Harris County Jail. He was being held on a $1 million bond, but the judge revoked it Tuesday -- at least until all of the cases can be combined.

In 2014, Davis was also convicted of felony aggravated robbery. Davis’ next court date has not been set.

A group of gunmen assassinated Haitian President Jovenel Moïse and wounded his wife in an overnight raid on their home Wednesday, inflicting growing chaos in a country already enduring gang violence and political protests.

The motivation for Wednesday’s overnight attack is currently unknown. Moïse, 53, dissolved parliament in January 2020 and ruled by decree as opponents and protesters demanded that he step down. Armed gangs with unclear allegiances have seized control of growing portions of the country, terrorizing the population with kidnappings, rapes and killings.

The assailants pretended to be US Drug Enforcement Administration agents, allegedly.

Video footage taken in Pelerin 5, where Moïse's private home was located, showed assailants apparently claiming to be agents with the DEA.

No evidence suggests the DEA had any part in the attack.

Haiti's police chief announced Wednesday night that four suspects had been killed in a gun battle with the police, and that two others were arrested.

Haiti's Embassy in Washington, D.C., released a statement on behalf of the government Wednesday morning, saying Moïse had been killed in a "well-coordinated attack by a highly trained and heavily armed group."

Officials have not yet identified the suspects, but said some of them were speaking Spanish.
Communications Minister Pradel Henriquez described them as “foreigners.” The primary languages spoken in Haiti are Haitian Creole and French.

Many details about the attack remain unclear...............................................................................................................................................................

NEW MEXICO MAN DECAPITATES & PLAYS SOCCER WITH VICTIM'S HEAD

A New Mexico man has reportedly confessed to brutally murdering & decapitating a 51-year-old man at a park in Las Cruces on June 21, Father’s Day.

Investigators say the suspect, 25-year-old Joel Arciniega-Saenz confessed to using a knife to decapitate 51-year-old James Garcia, and that Arciniega-Saenz then kicked the victim's head like a soccer ball.

The suspect allegedly said he dragged Garcia’s body to the street and kicked the victim's severed head at 14 cars. Investigators found the head yards away from his body. The suspect is also accused of severing one of Garcia's middle fingers.

Arciniega-Saenz reportedly claimed he followed Garcia to the park after Garcia robbed him while he was hanging out at his house a few days earlier. Arciniega-Saenz also claimed without evidence that Garcia had r***d Arciniega-Saenz’s wife several years ago but wouldn’t identify her to police.

Arciniega-Saenz was later found at the park covered in blood and officers say there was bloody knife stuck in the ground near him. He is charged with first degree murder.

Arciniega-Saenz was previously arrested in 2017 for the shooting death of Benjamin Montoya, 21, but the charges were later dismissed when a key witness was found with a gun of the same caliber as the one used to kill Montoya, allegedly.

A Michigan man is accused of opening fire on a 6-year-old boy who left his bicycle in front of the man’s home.

29-year-old Ryan Le-Nguyen of Ypsilanti Township faces charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do bodily harm and two fi****ms charges.

Coby Daniel, 6, suffered a gunshot wound to his arm and was rushed to hospital following the Saturday incident. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

Arnold Daniel, the boy’s father, alleges that Le-Nguyen first attacked the young boy with a sledgehammer when he left his bike on the man's front lawn. After Le-Nguyen allegedly told the children to leave, Coby stepped back onto his yard to get his bike. That's when, police say, Le-Nguyen fired a round through his window, striking the boy in the arm.

Le-Nguyen was originally released on a bond set at $10,000 on June 8 after the prosecutor's office originally requested a $100,000 cash bond.

A judge has raised his bond to $100,000 and ordered him to turn himself in. The new bail amount is a cash bond, meaning that Le-Nguyen will need to come up with the entire $100,000 - not just 10%. He is now back in custody.

A 5-year-old Houston boy whose body authorities say was kept hidden in a storage unit before being discovered in a motel in Jasper, Texas has been positively identified as that of Samuel Olson, following an autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston. Olson's cause of death has been ruled a homicide

The boy's father's girlfriend, 29-year-old Theresa Balboa has been charged in connection with the 5-year-old's death. She was taken into custody at the motel and has been charged with tampering with evidence. She's the one who reported Samuel was missing, but police said there were holes in her story from the beginning.

“The cause of his death is homicidal violence with blunt head trauma,” said the institute.

The 5-year-old was reported missing five days before the discovery. Samuel’s body was found June 1 inside a plastic tote in a motel in Jasper. Prosecutors have said Balboa was on her way to Louisiana.

Police believe Samuel died weeks before he was reported missing on May 27, according to an arrest affidavit. The would have turned 6 years old on May 29.

Balboa faced a judge for the first time Monday morning. The judge raised her total bond to $600,000 at the request of prosecutors.
The new bond includes $500,000 on the tampering with a human co**se charge and another $100,000 added on to the charge of choking Samuel's dad last November. She was out on a $5,000 bond for that charge when she was arrested last week in Jasper.

The district attorney said more charges could be coming once an autopsy is complete on the body found in the Jasper motel room.

A suspect is in custody in connection to the deadly shooting of 10-year-old Justin Wallace in Queens on what would have been the boy's 11th birthday.

Wallace was killed inside his Far Rockaway home Saturday night after being shot in the torso. His 29-year-old uncle was shot in the shoulder.

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday vowed that the "cowardly, horrible human being who fired gunshots just randomly into a home" in Queens, killing 10-year-old Justin Wallace, will face justice.

"I was in the Rockaways last night with the family of Justin Wallace, and it was just the most painful thing," de Blasio said. "It was horrible. Ten-year-old child should be alive today, should be in school right now, killed by a cowardly, horrible human being."

29-year-old Jovan Young has been arrested Tuesday on charges of murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say Young drove up to the Wallace's home, pulled out a gun and started firing at that exact moment Wallace was leaving the home. He exited the home into the hail of gunfire, was struck, and collapsed.

"This young man, Justin, was 10 years old, would have been 11 on Tuesday," Queens Borough President Donovan Richards said. "This family was planning a birthday party for him. Today, they're planning a funeral."

De Blasio is also calling on the state to reform its parole system.

He says, too often, parolees are dumped into city shelters, more recently homeless hotels, without a job, healthcare or mental health support.

State Assemblywoman Maritza Davila is sponsoring a bill to offer those parolees a new path.

"We should not be releasing prisoners who will more than likely commit more crimes if they don't have services," she said.

De Blasio also says with more than 1,000 new cops just out of police academy, it is essential to put them in the right places. He also pointed to the Cure Violence initiative, saying those types of programs work.

But right now, shootings are up close to 70%.

A memorial now sits at the spot Wallace took his final breath.

Arrests have been made in connection to the killing of 6-year-old Aiden Leos, who was struck by gunfire on the 55 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, were arrested at their home in Costa Mesa Sunday in connection to the 55 Freeway road rage shooting that took the life of 6-year-old Aiden Leos on May 21.

"On behalf of Border Division Chief Omar Watson, and the Santa Ana Area, we are deeply grateful for the professionalism and tireless commitment of our investigators who have worked on this case from day one to find those responsible for Aiden's death," said CHP Commissioner Amanda Rey. "While these arrests will not ease the pain of a mother's loss, my hope is for the Leos family to have some peace of mind and to rest assured the CHP will work with the Orange County District Attorney to bring justice for Aiden."

The California Highway Patrol Border Division Chief Watson also thanked the community for its "indescribable outpouring of concern and hundreds of tips" that helped investigators find the killers.

Leos, who was laid to rest Saturday, sat in the backseat of his mother’s car, on the way to kindergarten, when the shooting incident occurred. The 6-year-old was struck by a bullet in his abdomen.

Joanna Cloonan, Aiden’s mother, and the occupants of a white Volkswagen station wagon, allegedly Wynne and Eriz, were involved in the road rage incident over a perceived unsafe lane change, according to California Highway Patrol.

California Highway Patrol said they expect murder charges against the couple. Both suspects are being held at the Orange County Jail on $1 million bond each. Both are scheduled to head to court on Tuesday, according to Orange County jail records.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects has surpassed $450,000. So far there’s been no word on whether anyone will receive that.

Two sheriff's deputies fatally shot a man Thursday afternoon during an arrest attempt in Minneapolis, prompting protests and public outcry to release footage of the shooting.

The slain man was identified as Winston Boogie Smith Jr, a 32-year-old father of three, who Marshals Service officials say was wanted “on a state arrest warrant” for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to authorities.

Crowds gathered in the area on Thursday night, shouting confronting police and setting a dumpster on fire which eventually melted into a "puddle of fire" as a few dozen protesters continued to add items to the dumpster to keep it burning. Firefighters eventually arrived and extinguished the fire.

Police said windows in some businesses were smashed. Vandals also tagged a building near the shooting scene with anti-police graffiti that said "Kill cops" and "No trial for them".

Nine people were arrested on possible charges including suspicion of riot, assault, arson and damage to property, police said.

Smith was shot dead in Minneapolis on Thursday by members of a US Marshals task force for allegedly pulling a gun on them as they attempted to serve an arrest warrant according to a statement released Thursday by the US Marshals.

Smith had made threatening posts after the police murder of George Floyd, including some against cops.

The dad of two was convicted of felony aggravated robbery in 2017 and on probation and unable to possess a firearm, records show. If he had been nabbed with a firearm by cops Thursday, he could have sent back to prison

Aside from the robbery and firearm raps, Smith had two other arrests on his record: for driving without a license, which he was convicted of, and for stealing 20 packs of Newport ci******es, a rap which was dismissed. He also had been cited 15 times for traffic violations such as speeding and parking in snow zones and received two tickets for ma*****na possession.

10 people are dead after a mass shooting at a light rail facility in San Jose, California, Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The suspect has been identified by two law enforcement officials as 57-year-old Sam Cassidy, a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority employee.

Santa Clara County Sheriff Deputy Russell said it’s believed Cassidy took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound since responding officers did not exchange gunfire with him.

"When our deputies went through the door, initially he was still firing rounds. When our deputy saw him, he took his life," Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith told reporters.

The victims, many of them longtime employees of the transit agency, were identified by the Santa Clara County coroner's office Wednesday night as Paul Delacruz Megia, 42; Taptejdeep Singh, 36; Adrian Balleza, 29; Jose Dejesus Hernandez, 35; Timothy Michael Romo, 49; Michael Joseph Rudometkin, 40; Abdolvahab Alaghmandan, 63; Alex Ward Fritch, 49, and Lars Kepler Lane, 63.

A motive is also not immediately clear according to investigators.

A man from St. Paul was charged Wednesday with nine counts of murder and attempted murder in connection with the mass shooting in downtown Minneapolis over the weekend that left two dead, including a St. Thomas University student who was scheduled to graduate.

24-year-old Jawan Carroll faces multiple murder and attempted murder charges in connection with the May 22 incident.

Just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, police said two people, one of whom later identified as Carroll, stood in a crowd outside a nightclub in Block 300 of 1st Avenue North in downtown Minneapolis when they started arguing. Carroll allegedly punched the other person and started shooting him, with a crowd of people not involved also in the line of fire.

Officers found several people lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. They found two people dead at the scene. Ten people were shot in total.

Police said one of the two people killed was one of the suspected shooters. The other victim was Charlie Johnson, a mechanical engineering major who was walking in the area at the time of the shooting and was not involved.

Johnson was walking with another person and had just approached a nearby sidewalk when the shooting started. He was shot in the back as he tried to escape the shots. He died at the scene.

Eight other people were injured in the shooting, four women and three men, one was last reported to be in critical condition.

Carroll was arrested hours after the shooting at a Comfort Inn in Bloomington. At the time of his arrest, he had several criminal offenses pending, including assault and flight cases from the police.

The investigation is ongoing, including extensive forensic testing.

Carroll remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bail ahead of a court appearance Thursday. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison for each of his two second degree murder charges.

There have been 32 homicides in the city so far this year, following an especially deadly 2020, when 84 people were slain. The 2019 total was 48. As of the weekend, more than 190 people have been wounded or killed in shootings, compared with about 75 at this point in 2020, according to Police Department data.

Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell have been indicted by a grand jury in Rexburg, Idaho on first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Lori Daybell’s children: Tylee Ryan, 17 and J.J. Vallow, 7, said Madison County Prosecuting Attorney Rob Wood.

Chad Daybell was also charged with murder in connection with the death of his ex-wife Tammy Daybell, 49, who died under "suspicious circumstances" a few weeks before Daybell got remarried.

Authorities grew suspicious when Chad Daybell remarried just two weeks later, and they had Tammy Daybell’s body exhumed in Utah in December.

The results of that autopsy have not been released.

The children's disappearance became national news after Daybell and Vallow abruptly left the area following questioning by police about the whereabouts of Tylee and JJ and about the recent death of Tammy Daybell.

The indictments cite the couple's "religious beliefs" as a factor in the murders. According to the probable cause affidavit in Chad Daybell's case, Gibb told authorities that Chad Daybell and Lori Daybell told her they were part of the “Church of the Firstborn” with a mission to lead the “144,000” mentioned in the Book of Revelation and to rid the world of “zombies.”

In the court document unsealed in June 2020, police said that Lori Daybell's friend, Melani Gibb, cooperated with authorities and told them that Vallow believed her children had become "zombies."

"Every person who has worked on this case is to be commended for their diligence and steadfast pursuit of justice for Tammy, Tylee and JJ," Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood said in a statement.

Daybell also is charged with insurance fraud, while Vallow is charged with grand theft for allegedly continuing to draw Social Security benefits for her children after their deaths.

It’s unclear if prosecutors will pursue the death penalty against the Daybells.

A 6-year-old boy was killed in an apparent road-rage shooting on a California highway Friday morning.

It happened just after 8 a.m. on the 55 Freeway in Orange, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The boy was identified by family as Aiden Leos, a kindergartener at Calvary Chapel Yorba Linda. He was being driven to school by his mother when the shooting happened.

The fatal incident, described by the the highway patrol as an isolated road-rage confrontation, occurred near West Chapman Avenue between 7:55 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.

Authorities say the 6-year-old boy was seated in the backseat of his mother's car on the 55 Freeway when he was shot to death by the suspect in another car in a road-rage attack.

The shooter, who remained at large, was said to be driving a newer model white sedan, possibly a Volkswagen wagon sedan, according to California Highway Patrol. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on the 55 from Chapman Avenue.

"There was road rage on the freeway and someone pulled out a gun and shot my little brother in the stomach, and he said, 'Mommy, my tummy hurts,'" said Alexis Cloonan, the boy's sister.

"So she went and she picked him up and he was bleeding on her, she had blood on her clothes," Cloonan said. "And then he started turning blue, and that's when the ambulance took him. And that's the last time my mom saw him alive."

Cloonan issued a plea for anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.

"Please help us find the people who did this to my little brother," said an emotional Cloonan. "He's only 6 and he was so sweet. He was a very, very loving boy. So, please help us find who did this to him."

Aiden had turned 6 just last week, according to family members.

Tips may be provided by calling the CHP's Santa Ana office at (714) 567-6000.

The Highway Patrol said the incident was not connected to a recent string of more than 80 reported shootings at vehicles on California freeways since April.

A GoFundMe page was setup for Aiden's mother and to help with her child's burial costs.

25/05/2021

One arrest has been made in connection to the fatal mass shooting over the weekend at a house party in Bridgeton, New Jersey that left two people dead and 12 others injured.

Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae identified the suspect as 36-year-old Kevin Dawkins of Commerce Street in Bridgeton.

Dawkins is charged with multiple counts including prohibited weapons and devices, possession of weapons for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of weapons, and certain persons not to have weapons.

“This was not a random act of violence, this was a targeted attack,” New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said.

Two victims who were killed have been identified a 30-year-old Kevin Elliott of Bridgeton and 25-year-old Asia Hester, also of Bridgeton.

The dozen people who were injured ranged in age from 19 to 35. At least one person was in critical condition.

Some have been released from hospitals while others “continue to fight for their lives,” Gov. Phil Murphy said.

“This was a birthday party, a birthday party is supposed to be a joyous event not a target for those hell-bent on inflicting harm into a community,” Murphy said.

Dawkins is being held in Cumberland County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
Authorities are seeking the public’s help for information leading to additional arrests.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Jersey State Police Bridgeton Station at 856-451-0101 or submit a tip via the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office tip website at www.njccpo.org/tips. Anonymous tips are welcome.

Dawkins' connection to the shooting was not released.

Black Lives Matter activist Sasha Johnson is in a critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to her head in an incident in south London, her affiliated group, Taking the Initiative party, has announced on social media.

"It is with great sadness that we inform you that our own Sasha Johnson has been brutally attacked and sustained a gunshot wound to her head," Taking the Initiative Party (TTIP) said in a Sunday statement. "She is currently in intensive care and in a critical condition."

Johnson, 27, rose to prominence last year during the Black Lives Matter protests, as a leader of the TTIP, which has been described as "Britain's first Black-led political party."

London’s Met police said in a statement that at this early stage of investigation there was no evidence to suggest a targeted attack or that the woman "had received any credible threats against her prior to this incident." The incident is being investigated by the department’s gang unit.

Imarn Ayton, a friend of Johnson's, said Johnson had been at a party or gathering when she was injured but she did not believe "she was the intended victim".

"As far as I am aware... this incident is more related to rival gangs as opposed to her activism," Ms Ayton said.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said his "thoughts and prayers" were with Ms Johnson and her family, and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Anybody with information should call police on 101, tweet providing the reference CAD1172/23MAY, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Atlanta Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of 15-year-old Diamond Johnson who was shot on May 1 near Glenwood Avenue.

31-year-old Elizabeth Parham has been charged with felony murder, party to a crime; aggravated assault, party to a crime; and first-degree child cruelty - just two days after securing warrants for her arrest.
