A few real estate pics!

I am very thankful for the past year. Dreams that I’ve had since I was five years old have been to write books and make movies, basically just to tell stories that I create. Over the last 10 years, I have made a few attempts at doing this, but I made mistakes or just trying to “wing it” and figure out, instead of having a plan in place.

When I first started with doing freelance videos, I only wanted to do houses, I loved all the videos of house tours and that’s what I wanted to do. I sent out emails to local agents offering to do videos of houses for them, with the first one free. One realtor called me back. At first he said he thought it was a scam because no one offers to do anything for free. Then he said he would let me film a 1.3 million dollar house he was listing if I did photos too. I was like absolutely I do! I’d never even thought of doing real estate photos and never done a single one! In 2022, I photographed/ filmed 15 houses, now I’m adding 3D virtual tours, and more creative social media videos. Can’t wait!!

For weddings, I thought about filming a wedding, but was also a little worried. I posted a Tik Tok of just a drone flight through a field when someone commented, “okay, I’m going to need you to film my wedding.” That was the start and in 2022 I’ve filmed 12 more across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.

As great as all of this was and how thankful I am for all of it, working full time in law enforcement, and doing all of this, it had to take a toll somewhere, and that was on my podcast, Crime Nerds. I absolutely love the community that has come around that podcast and talking to people all over the world, but I because really inconsistent, feeling burnt out, and what was supposed to be a weekly show turned into a couple every other month. But in 2022 alone, despite the inconsistencies, Crime Nerds ended with 12,771 downloads in 89 countries, and 3009 cities around the world. I’m still taking a break from that, but I am looking to come back with a lot more this year!!

This post turned out being a lot longer than I expected, as great as 2022 was, I could not be more excited, not for 2023, but for the next 10, 20, 30 years. I’ve never felt closer to being the person that five year old me dreamed of being. Thank you all.
