HOW DO I KNOW? Slide ➡️ to see.

And now, after 25+ years of building brands (including two of my own), I’m giving you access to all of my secrets....

I’ve tried, tested and seen it all. I’ve made a ton of mistakes, and I’ve learned along the way. Now I’m sharing my knowledge, experience and proven strategies with you.

I built my own brand from $0 to 7-figures for six years straight, reaching 3MM people per month, WITHOUT a marketing budget, WITHOUT paid ads, and WITHOUT paying influencers.

You’re wearing so many hats. You’re burning the midnight oil. You’re not taking a systematic approach to growing your brand.

Let’s change that.

Most of the marketing advice you see on IG doesn’t work because it’s written by people who’ve never actually built a business. (Seriously—have you looked into them?)

But, that’s why I created Marketing Made Simple for Small Business. It’s a small group mentorship that helps you create the right content and messaging to connect with your community, drive sales, AND generate a simplified process for putting it out into the world, to grow your following and bottom line.

This program combines group strategy sessions, 1:1 coaching and a TON of digital resources with step-by-step instructions to guide you along the way. Inside MMS you’ll learn how to build and grow your brand like an entrepreneur.

You’ll do this by creating processes and systems, generating a content strategy, and executing it all with efficiency. Consider it an extension of your business—your very own marketing department at your fingertips while you’re working each day.

REGISTRATION for for our next cohort is open—and I;,m only allowing three more people inside. Doors close at the end of the weekend and we start on Monday.

I’ve introduced you to before, but I want you to meet her again ➡️ to see when you can have the chance.

Lisi grabbed a 30-minute discovery call with me in September of 2023 and we totally hit it off. She’s a social media manager + consultant for small businesses, but she had a confession to make:

She didn’t know how to market her own services.
She could do it for clients, but not for herself.

She also confessed to showing up on social media for periods of time and then disappearing.

So I told her—you have to be consistent. She knew this from her successes with clients, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

I also told her she had to show up and share her story, talk about her offer and share her knowledge—quick wins and tips for her community. This was the tip of the marketing iceberg.

She wanted to work with me, but I told her to sit tight—I knew I had something coming that she would want to be a part of.

When I launched my group mentorship, Marketing Made Simple for Small Business, Lisi was one of the first calls I made, and she was one of the first women to sign up.

For the last year and some change, she’s showed up, she’s listened and she’s done the work. She’s built herself a solid foundation to market her own services and build her client roster.

Now? She’s booked solid and is working with small business owners in a multitude of ways. And I want you to meet her. Lisi isn’t just a client, or a colleague, she is a friend. One I know I’ll have in my corner forever.

Please mark your calendar and join Lisi and I for a discussion about what she did and what she’s doing to drive client engagement and most important: SALES.

Tune in THURSDAY at 12pm ET/11am CT on Instagram .

If you have any questions for Lisi, please drop them below!

☀️ What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?

It means being strong, resilient, gritty, independent, a leader, and a role model. It means I can contribute to society and my community in a meaningful way. It means I can show my kids that there is not one label to any one person, you can be mom, spouse, sister, daughter, friend, caregiver AND boss, owner, leader, collaborator.

☀️ What are the first five things that you did when you were starting your business?

I talked to people - I first joined the Women’s Jewelry Association. Next I started attending their local events. After that I felt comfortable joining their forums and asking for consulting resources. Then I took the necessary steps to form an actual business - registration, licenses, tax information, etc.

☀️ What would you do differently if you were starting your business today?

Oh gosh. Maybe budget. I’m not a finance person and it intimidates me. My husband is a finance person and I wish I had utilized his skills more at the beginning so I could understand the financial aspect of the business. I have learned a lot and continue to learn and make good decisions as well as mistakes.

Sharing the journey of Dr. Emily Gordon, a clinical psychologist with insightful experiences of resilience and healing.

☀️What is her story?

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who helps teens and women tune into themselves, tune out all the external noise, and find strategies to heal, accept themselves, and find meaning, hope, and connection.

I have been treating adolescents, young adults and women of all ages for almost 25 years. I have become an expert in treating eating disorders and helping people heal their relationships with their bodies, food, exercise, and themselves (all of which deepens relationships with others). I do this work because it is so profound to be able to walk along someone in their life journey and help them find their way through. I always knew I wanted to “help” people, but I never realized how much helping others would enrich me along the way.

☀️What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?

Being a FoundHer is an opportunity for me to connect with and learn from other women who are creating meaningful businesses. I am hoping it will inspire me to keep moving forward with new ideas and programs that will serve more people. While I have run a small business for many years, there is so much I don’t know about building it and helping it grow, and I want to learn from others.

☀️How do you support other female founders and women in business?

I support young clinicians in my field through supervision and consultation. One of my favorite things to do each year is to go to my local high school on Career Day and talk about what it is like to become and to be a psychologist. And I am always eager to meet, connect with, and connect other women business owners so we can all learn and grow together!

Ever wondered who is behind the brand Tick Tock Naturals? My friends, meet Susan Eisen, founder and creator of this natural and organic mosquito and tick repellent.

Susan is a Wellness Lyme Literate Chiropractor who doesn’t want anyone to get bitten by a tick and develop a severe infectious disease like she did.

☀️What’s Susan’s story?

I’m a holistic chiropractor who had the misfortune of being bitten by a tick and developing an acute severe case of neurological Lyme disease which included a very bizarre set of symptoms including OCD. As a healthcare provider, I literally diagnosed myself before walking into the office of a medical doctor for proper antibiotic therapy. After proper treatment, my OCD resolved never to return. I found this fascinating.

It was this along with my background in biochemistry that set me on the road to develop a clean product that could truly prevent tick and other insect bites for many hours that could actually compete with the synthetic sprays.

☀️What is something you do differently from the industry standard?

My entire formula is based on the opposite chemical principles in my market (natural insect repellents) and it is for this reason that it outlasts every other product in this category while remaining clean, nonGMO and organic. Thinking outside of the box is essential.

☀️What are three actionable tips you would give with other women who want to start a business or are just getting started?

1. Make sure your product can have disruptor status in its space.

2. Never cut corners.

3. Be persistent.

Welcome founder Justine Kuran, joining us as a commercial paper artist and a lifelong activist against antisemitism.

☀️ What’s your story?

I fell into art by chance a a way to reclaim my financial independence as a stay-at-home mum, only to discover in my 40’s a latent passion for creating. I was ‘lucky’ that I was able to fill a void in the market and by channelling all the chutzpah I could, I found my way from creating small gifts to expansive works of art for everyone from private homes to movie stars, presidents and prime ministers. Now I create because when I wake up in the morning I can’t wait to be in my studio. My art tells the story of my life, it’s more than what I do, it’s who I am.

☀️ How do you support other female founders and women in business?

I am regularly approached to mentor young artists, and I see this as a privilege. There is nothing I love more than sharing “my favorite things” and during sale times I love to highlight small, especially female-owned businesses. My community is made up of so many philanthropic women and I try never to say no if asked to donate art or prizes to support their cause.

☀️ What are the first five things that you did when you were starting your business?

1. I created a distraction-free workspace in my home.

2. I was inspired by my local Jewish community to create artworks that I hoped they would connect to (which they did).

3. I approached a local cafe, owned by two Jewish women, and asked if I could sell my art in the cafe in return for giving them a commission of sales.

4. I found a way to balance my responsibilities of being a wife and mother to three young daughters, and a growing a business by doing what every successful person does - I worked hours I hadn’t known existed.

5. I built an online business organically, by posting regularly, engaging with followers, offering incentives and occasional giveaways.

This FoundHer is on a mission to create a generation of empowered, self-reliant professionals who navigate the complexities of adulthood with competence, confidence, and purpose.

Say hello and welcome Heather Redisch, Founder of Adulting 101 Masterclass!

With the Heather helps recent and rising grads transition from college to Adulting by learning a new set of real-world tools through resources, experts, and community.

☀️ What’s your story? How did you get to where you are and WHY do you do what you do?

Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats: interviewer, coach, mentor, and manager. I’ve partnered with organizations to create workplace cultures that prioritize authenticity and growth while guiding thousands of candidates on their journey to fulfilling careers. But over time, I began noticing a significant shift, especially when working with college graduates and young professionals. Gen Z, in particular, was entering the workforce with unparalleled creativity, drive, and a desire for purpose, but also facing social, emotional, and financial literacy gaps that were holding them back. I saw firsthand the struggle they faced in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and workplace readiness, and I knew something needed to change.

As a mom of three girls, I’ve also felt the responsibility of preparing the next generation for life beyond the classroom. I’ve seen the challenges they face in today’s hyperconnected, fast-paced world, where the pressures of adulthood can feel overwhelming.

That’s why I founded The Talent Maven and created the Adulting101 Masterclass—to help empower young professionals with the essential life skills, workplace etiquette, and communication strategies they need to succeed. My goal is to not only teach practical tools but also instill confidence and resilience in a generation that’s rewriting the rules of work and life.

and I lived parallel lives for many years—and we didn’t even know each other. It’s crazy that other than sitting next to each other at the GeniusBar one Sunday afternoon, that our paths didn’t cross for real until a few years ago.

After I sold my company and I wanted to leave, a mutual friend of mine and Jessica’s encouraged me to reach out to Jess for advice.

And I will never, ever forget the advice and support she gave me during a time when many of those in my life just didn’t understand. Jessica is not only an incredible business person and a branding expect, she is an amazing human being and one who never forgets where she came from.

This is Jessica’’s second time on Dear FoundHer…. as today we’re celebrating a HUGE milestone of her own—the acquisition of her company, Simply Be.

In today’s episode she shares some of the realities of going from CEO to employee in your own business, her journey to acquisition, and some tips to keep in mind if you’re thinking about eventually selling your business.

Give a “hello!” to co-founder of Cohesive Classrooms, Yelena Johnson!

Yelena Patish Johnson is an educational consultant and professor specializing in supporting educators, schools, and district in developing their culturally responsive classroom management practices. She provides support in creating classroom communities where every child is seen, valued and heard regardless of their differences.

☀️ What is your story?

After living what I thought was my dream of living in NYC and working in corporate America, I felt a pull to do something more with my life, something more purposeful and would bring me joy. At that time, I was volunteering with kids and felt this pull to want to work with them more. Long story short…I took the leap and went back to school to get my Masters in Education. I still remember the moment I stepped into my first class in my teacher education program - I felt this sense of belonging, that I hadn’t felt before. It was from that moment on, that I never looked back.

So, I decided to take the leap again, moved across the country, to go back to school to get my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. My area of focus is culturally responsive classroom management. I teach this course at our university and also have the privilege of coaching and providing professional development for teachers, schools and districts across the country.

☀️ What is something you do differently from the industry standard?

I feel that one of my strengths is being able to connect with people first. I work on building a relationship whether it’s one-on-one or a whole school building, before I launch into the content. I find that in my work, the trust and vulnerability needs to be there to really help make change.

☀️ What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?

It means being part of community that supports woman who are working in growing their businesses, to help make an impact in our world and community today. It means uplifting woman, making connections with other entrepreneurs and finding opportunities for us all to thrive in this community.

Connect with Yelena and check out more of her story in the community on www.DearFoundHer.com!

We didn’t forget how much fun we had with all of you in Chicago this past December.
