Our 17-year old daughter booked a room on Hotels.com and it clearly says it's a $200 deposit. We checked the hotel website and it only says $200 deposit. Everywhere it says $200 deposit. Before my daughter went there she called the hotel and told them she was 17 and they said it was ok. When she got there they told her it was a $1000 deposit! She obviously didn't have that amount she's 17 years old. So she told them she couldn't afford the deposit and asked for her money back and they refused! She didn't get a room or anything and they kept her money. This has caused problems for her because her account was on hold. When I contacted Hotels.com they said she would get a refund. When I called the hotel to confirm they said she would not. Was I being lied to??? Hotels.com told me that the hotel told them the person who authorized the refund wasn't authorized to do so. What? Very shady! I spoke to the hotel twice and they offered me a voucher, but I refused both times. I told them I do not want a voucher because I have no desire to stay at a hotel that treats people, especially minors, like this and steals from them. Now because the hotel emailed my daughter a voucher, even though I told them I do not want it, corporate said they cannot do anything. Do not stay at this hotel! Hilton Hotels & Resorts Hotels.com
