Would you use ChatGPT for book editing?
Let’s be honest – we all overcomplicate things, which is why letting software and, more lately, AI do some of the boring, laborious tasks is the fastest way to efficiency.
However, using AI, such as ChatGPT, for editing can also be scary. How reliable is it? Can it make mistakes?
The truth is – the biggest mistake an author can make is dismissing AI altogether.
There’s an old saying from the 60s - ‘garbage in = garbage out.’ This phrase was coined by an IBM programmer to explain that computers, as intelligent as they are, can only work well if they receive good data.
Although the ‘I' in AI stands for intelligence, we’re a long way from truly intelligent AI, which means the garbage in = garbage out concept still prevails.
When you know the right prompts to use, you can harness the power of ChatGPT to make light work of book editing.
Join me at 12pm UK time tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Thought Leader Author Forum to find out the exact prompts I use to edit books (and all other business content, such as articles, social media posts, etc.)
