Sooo.... which orientation should you shoot your Videos in?... landscape, landscape, landscape.... but Joey, along with YouTube, I also upload to Facebook reels and I also upload to Instagram and my videos must be 9:16 portrait mode vertical aspect ratio for those social media platforms.... well, take an extra few minutes and edit your main Landscape video by simply changing it to 9:16 ratio then save it.... Now, you will have 2 perfect videos with the proper sizes to upload to any social media platform!

You can always change a wider video to narrow but you can't change a narrow video to wider!

Yep, many people still do not know the proper definition and where the word came from.... So, here it goes....

PODCAST ::: a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically. Derived from a combination of two words. iPod and Broadcast. When the term was coined most people were using Apple's iPod to listen to podcasts. So when Ben Hammersley suggested the word podcasting to describe the new method of delivering content the term stuck.

Notice the definition states nothing about Video.. and nothing about having to have a "studio" or be inside a room or about having a "big ass microphone in front of your face".... just my 2 cents!... people are making it sooo complicated!

If you need help I'm here.... I can record you talking anywhere! Video and Audio!.... I don't need any power or any huge battery powered systems.... I can record you on a boat, in a car, out on your deck, in your office, on the Riverwalk, on the beach, down by the lake, in the woods, where ever you want!

Just like with your social media, your videos need fresh looks and different looks than just the same 'ole plain jane "at a desk" or "on the couch" showing off with my big ass microphone in front of my face..... it's your great content that gets people to watch/listen to you, not your desk or your big microphone! .... don't be like everyone else! Be original! ... give me a yell, I would love to help you if you need it.

That is the question I get at least 10x a week!... Do I set my video on YouTube as "Kids" or "Not For Kids".... Majority of the time, you will set your video as "Not For Kids"...... This does NOT really mean anything other than what it literally states... if you didn't make your video 100% for kids, then you should NEVER select Made For Kids.... it also does not mean your video is safe for viewing of kids, or some rating system like movies!.... I know it kinda reads confusing on YouTube when you add a video but very simply put, if you made your video for kids then select "made for kids." ~ Joey O'Connor

Need a Microphone / PA System?..... I now have a small pa system with wireless/wired microphone(s) that my clients can use - great for meetings, ribbon cuttings, small events, lectures, etc. - and system is bluetooth audio ready so music could also be played using smartphone/device. It could also be used for small music performances (ie singer w/ guitar). Use of system with me operating/running sound (I do not supply songs/music) is free for platinum clients and available by reservation. Reimbursement for Overall total time (Delivery, Set-up, Operation, Break-Down) might apply.

And, if you would like your event Video Recorded I can certainly do that as well!

Helpful Hint #256 - When you make a post on social media make sure you post it as if no one has seen you or your business before - don't assume anyone knows who you are and what you do. Make sure your post is clear and to the point. Take a few extra minutes to think about your post and what it actually means or what you actually want it to mean.... btw, the more words you include in your post the more your post will be seen!

Helpful Hint ➡️️ Events on Facebook ➡️️ Yes, if you are having an event, you need to add it to the 'events' section on your page - don't just do a post for it or an image/photo for it and share that on your page, actually take the time to make an 'event' in the 'events' section on your page!.... It only takes just a few minutes - and it's free!... Then you can invite your friends/followers using the "invite friends" link! Your friends will get automatic reminders of your event! And, when your friends (or anyone) clicks the "going" or the "interested" button an announcement of it will show on their "wall/news feed" that their friends will see as well! Also, FB adds it to their master events section so when people do a search for events in their area your event will show!... It won't show if you don't add it!... all of the above ='s free advertising for you and your event!... there are many other reasons too but just those are enough reason to make sure you add your event to your own page! --- Joey O'Connor
