CI’Year is the lyrical creative genius the industry has been waiting for in a long time. A true hustler who likes to stand on his own 2 feet, he is not the type to take any disrespect from anyone. With over 10 years under his belt in the music industry from where he started to where he is now has been quite the journey. Born in Louisiana, but now residing in Texas the rapper puts everything he is going through or living in his music. There is no cap anywhere in his bars or his demeanor, and CI’Year is the type of artist who drops his music, pops out for a show, and keeps it moving with his team. In an industry where social media and the hunger for fame can cause people to lose who they are internally, as a Made Man, he has thick skin and an even thicker mindset staying in his own lane. The all-around entrepreneur has even worked with a popular record label in Texas before it went under for poor management giving him the behind-the-scenes knowledge to be productive as a music artist. He is also the CEO of his own clothing line ‘Yo Momma’s Favorite’ a dope urban streetwear brand that caters to the pop-culture wave of today.

Starting the summer quarter of his career off on the right track, CI’Year just dropped his new album ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy 2’ and it is right what the people needed. Working with the popular Atlanta music group, Authentic Empire for album distribution, he has a solid team behind him all putting in work to contribute to his continued success. The album is the follow up to his past album ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’. The vision behind the project was due in part to the artist feeling the fakeness and downside of going up in the music industry. Feeling like he has something to prove to the naysayers he kept the album smooth and mellow so the listeners can hear every single bar he dropped. With 16 solid tracks you can listen to from start to finish without skipping anything it is a creative body of work to vibe to any time.
Now working under his own label Star Struck Records LLC / Hustlemusik LLC CI’Year is one of the industries rising artists to tap in with. Hustle Musik is the publishing company of Star Struck Records, so he has creative control over the business aspect of his music, as well as the artists under his label. Since his 2012 mixtape ‘The Mind of Me’ debuted to where he is currently, the artist is proud of his growth and how far he has come in his career. So many milestones have popped up for CI’Year in the past few years of him really horning in on his career such as opening for Gucci Mane, Money Mu, picking up distribution with Authentic Empire Music Group and now dropping his new album, 2021 is set to be the year of progression for rapper CI’Year.
